My auto insurance was, by notification from Direct, set to expire on 6/14/21. However, they (Direct) expired the policy the night before at 12:01, and then wanted me to pay an extra $100 for re-instatement plus the monthly premium payment of 115.56. The only reason my payment was late is because I left town for a funeral and did not have debit card with me. To change the date the night before, was; I believe, was just an effort on part of Direct to try squeeze an additional $100.
