When you purchase insurance from Branch, you can bundle your auto policy with homeowners policies or renters insurance to secure savings on each. You can apply for a policy and get a quote in minutes on their website.

The company takes a unique position on insurance. It aims to take the product back to a time when it was community-funded and benefitted communities in return. Indeed, the company does have a few community-minded programs in place. Branch donates a portion of the premiums it collects to its affiliated non-profit organization, which helps people who have suffered a loss involving their home or car and did not have adequate insurance to cover it. A community full of insured drivers is certainly a safer community. Branch also rewards its policy holders for referring and vouching for other customers who go on to purchase policies from the company.

Branch offers a discount for bundling you auto policy with your homeowners and/or you umbrella liability policies. The company also offers reward (a $25 Amazon gift card) for successful referrals. Branch has a unique community-oriented approach to building a customer base made up of save drivers. The company asks customers to refer other drivers and take a "Community Pledge. When you refer a customer and take the pledge, you are vouching that your referral is not likely to commit fraud. If you refer and/or vouch for other customers who then purchase a Branch policy, the company will discount your policy. Refer one friend and, as long as your friend remains with Branch, your policy will be discounted by 1%. You receive a discount for each referral. Refer 10 friends and you'll get 10% off. At higher referral levels, you can save a significant amount of money. We're not sure how practical this offer is—not everyone wants to spend their time acting as an insurance salesperson—but in the era of social media, who knows? Branch explains that the less money they have to spend on advertising, the lower rates they can offer, and the better they can serve the community.

It isn't clear from Branch's website whether the company offers some of the traditional discounts other car insurance companies offer, such as safe driver, senior, or long-term customer.
