A&E Factory Service Customer Service and Reputation

Customer Service/Reputation - 4 / 5

Although A&E Factory Service has an A+ rating from the BBB, negative online reviews are not hard to come by (as is often the case for any service provider). Most complaints stem from communication problems, particularly regarding missed service appointments and a frustrating rescheduling process. Nonetheless, the company has a customer service line available Monday through Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. CST and an online form to rate the service experience.

They were supposed to be at my house to work on my refrigerator between noon and 430 pm and finally showed at 630 pm. The repair man ordered parts and said he would return when they came in, the parts came in now they want me to sit at my house from 8am until 530 pm to wait for him. Apparently their time is more important than mine.

Third time they've come and LG refrigerator is still not functioning properly. The technician left the old evaporator coil and compressor with the boxes and packaging in my house as well as the fact that he was in the middle of a conversation with my wife when he just pulled out of the driveway. He told her he needed to make a phone call really quickly and he would be right back, then just left, leaving the internals of the refrigerator and trash still in my kitchen. When I called to get this remedied the receptionist "Rain" told me there was nothing she could do and hung up on me. When I called back she pretended to be someone else and refused to let me speak with her manager. Apparently... Read More

Absolutely one of the worst customer service experiences I have ever had with a repair company. Here is a chain of events. 11-9-19--- 4 hour appointment window was set up to see what was wrong with fridge. (Technician was late by several hours.) He figures out what is wrong and orders the parts for a repair to made next Saturday. 11-16-19---Have a 4 hour window again from 7am-11am. Receive call at 10:45am from technician stating he wont be by today because he is on a job that running way behind. I said no problem we can schedule for next Saturday at the same time. A few days later I was reminded that the Saturday appointment would not work. I rescheduled the appointment for 11-21-19... Read More

I would never recommend A&E as they have been coming out to my apt. For the same issue with my washer and now its 11/3/2109 and ever since they put parts on my washer always makes a loud noise and the routing department is keep on cancelling my appointments and a sears representative called the routing department and spoke with the manager and he told an sears employee that it doesn't matter if my machine is making a noise, it still functions. The routing department is keep cancelling my appts. a sears employee asked the routing department if they can make me an appointment to have my washer fixed and they said no as they will cancel my appointment again. I'm going to report this to my... Read More

Lowes hired for service plan. Technician was at my house 18 oct 2019. He said the OVEN (LG) needed parts. Delivery date is supposed to be within a week. He said He will be back The following friday which is today Oct 25. No Phone calls between last friday and today as to whether he is coming or what . Very poor service. We call your phone number for technical support .... he was hard to understand.....he said parts would be coming to my house and that we should call for the technician when we get it. Why am I responsible for this part? I paid for the service plan which I plan on NOT renewing because of poor services , not informing the customer what is going on!!!!I can not recommend... Had technicians at my home yesterday to fix dishwasher. One guy approached me about buying a Sears Home Warranty for $50/mo. to cover all appliances. I declined b/c I couldn't afford it. In just 20 mins they did repair dishwasher. It was a loose wire in the control board. Terry told me my bill would be $228. I couldn't believe it...I asked does that include parts or is it just labor. He said it was trip charge and labor. He then said he could cut the bill in half (which is what it should have been) if I signed up for the Home Warranty. That is outright extortion!! I will never, ever call this company for any repairs EVER!! What a Ripoff!!

My brand new $2,000 LG oven is not working. I had to spend over an hour on the phone with LG to finally get them to send out someone for repair. A & E is who they use. They can not get anyone out for two weeks for a service call. I will have no oven for two weeks after spending all that money. AND A & E will not give us a time window in which they will be here on the day of service. I have to take a whole day off of work to wait for them. I work in the service industry and that is ludicrous. They should be able to at least tell us morning or afternoon. They claim I can call that morning and they should be able to tell me morning or afternoon, but I can not wait until that morning... Read More

Wish I could give a negative star review - Unethical, no knowledge of how to repair any appliance - It's a guessing game for them - What a JOKE - How they are in business is beyond me - I hear CLASS ACTION LAW SUIT

This company is useless. My refrigerator was not cooling/freezing well at all. They came to my home three times and never did a single thing! The same female tech. came each time: first time, she focussed on us cutting holes for ventilation, keeping our home at 72 degrees, tilting the refrigerator 1/2" back off level, wiping the gaskets with vaseline, placing 2 x 4s behind the unit, having a dedicated plug....yeah, that's why the ice is melting! So, the second visit, she stated no-one was home. Our daughter was specifically waiting on the couch, by our front window during their appointment window. She was literally texting me right as they were texting me, saying no-one was home. Our... Read More

Too bad there is no zero star. My LG fridge was broken (room temperature!). So for warranty repair LG seems to be using A&E. The first time they just replaced the compressor (seems LG has lots of problems with these). The fridge was still the same. So I called and LG reschedule the appointment with A&E for a week later. Then the A&E guy says his truck was broken! What? They rescheduled it for a week later. Guess what, this time the technician was too busy to come. So the best they can do is a week later. I escalated to their manager who can't do anything for me and tried to hang up. I repeatedly asked to be escalated further for like 10~20 minutes w/o any results. Searching on the internet...
