A&E Factory Service Customer Service and Reputation

Customer Service/Reputation - 4 / 5

Although A&E Factory Service has an A+ rating from the BBB, negative online reviews are not hard to come by (as is often the case for any service provider). Most complaints stem from communication problems, particularly regarding missed service appointments and a frustrating rescheduling process. Nonetheless, the company has a customer service line available Monday through Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. CST and an online form to rate the service experience.

Absolutely horrible. We've waited for over a month for refrigerator parts (delivered to our home - why?) only to find out we have a different part that's the problem from the third technician. This part is over half of what our appliance is worth and we've had no reliable refrigerator for several weeks now. No accountability, no refund for the initial visit so far, no working appliance - no business from us ever again.

I had to get a 'mother board' replaced on my LG Refrigerator. I had an extended warranty with Best Buy (which is also terrible, but will save that for another review). Best Buy, unfortunaly usses A&E for appliance repair work, in Denver. First, it took over 1.5 months to finally come out to my house. They canceled out at the last minute, from my original appointment, as they claim they didn't get confirmation, but they tried texting me on a land-line number, that doesn't support text (even though) we told them that in advance. The guy finally came out last week to replace the board. He comes in the house not wearing a mask, and not asking if this was OK. He then installed the new... Read More

I live in Kansas City, Missouri. Our refrigerator stopped working the first of June 2020. We called and scheduled an appointment. The Technician was wonderful, just like the ones who had repaired my dryer several times when it over heated. He did an analysis and ordered parts. Unfortunately, the parts took a couple of week s to arrive and they all arrived separately. It was three parts. The company rescheduled and someone arrived to fix it in July. He didn't stay long and was very uneasy because of COVID-19. I understand, as I am a RN and so I know the fear. The refrigerator continued making loud sounds after he left, maybe days later, and broke down AGAIN. July 31 we were... Read More

I have a Kenmore washer and needed some service on it. I did an on-line appt which was scheduled for July 22 ; arrival time for serviceman was between 12 and 4. I received numerous emails and texts before July 22, indicating that my service was scheduled. On July 22, sometime after noon, I followed up with the company to confirm a technician was coming. TWICE I was assured someone would be at my house that day. At 4:30, I received a phone call, stating they were overbook and rescheduled me for Aug 5 between 12 and 4. I expressed my displeasure with these events. I requested that the Aug 6 date schedule me for early in the afternoon because I did not want to be cancelled again.... Read More

They are not providing us with professional timely service. WE have been without a working refrigerator for 3 weeks. A&E will not give us the name or number to supervisor/manager to resole issues. They have damaged our refrigerator and when initial repair was completed, after waiting one week for parts, refrigerator is still not working. This has been the worst experience of my life. We need help!!

I have been with out a refrigerator since June 25. They have given me appointment dates only to change them sometime within an hour. I have called their customer (no) service many times trying to get warranty service. On July 15 their Tech. came stayed 15 mins, told me I needed comp., drier, and evap,, He said he would order parts and have them sent to me. He checks for next open date for repair return, Aug 5 was open. Four days later I receive the evap,, I call and wait on hold for a very long time (just like every time before) , The first thing I'm told is that now Aug 11 is first open date, what happened to the 5th I asked. I told that it just was not available anymore (guess I am not... Read More

Worst ever in all facets of the customer experience. Took them 3 weeks to get here. And when they left the fridge was in worse shape then when they got here. When I called the next day and asked if they can come out again, they wanted a charge number. What...really, stand behind your work. THEN they told me it would be another three weeks. Best Buy gave us a new fridge. BTW LG customer service was even worse.

this is the worse company that ever existed in the country -- first they do not know how to fix things. the guy that came to fix my oven asked me how is it open -- second they have terrible customer services and third they r racist the way they speak to foreign born people with accent -- at least based on my experience... i asked for a supervisor and she was also racist -- but the bottom line they do bad terrible work -- unprofessional

This is the worst repair company I've ever dealt with. Don't waste your time or money. The first guy they sent out didn't even know how to take my Advantium Power Oven/Microwave apart to repair. He had to call his boss, I waited another week. They came out and ordered 3 parts, I've received 2, and 3rd not received. I've tried calling this company 14 times, none of which ever helped and was typically on hold for 1.5 hr to almost 2 hrs before I was just disconnected without anyone ever answering. It has now been 2 mos, and still nothing. I'm beyond FED UP! I'm now on hold again and it's currently 45 minutes and nothing, expect they will disconnect the call. No service, no knowledge or... A technician was to come between 8-12 today. Received a call the technician called in sick. Did not get notified until 11:40. Why couldn’t A and E let us know earlier? Was not able to make other arrangements and dryer cannot be repaired until Monday (today is Sat). I guess I need to call and confirm myself even though you get text messages saying they are confirming your appointment. POOR communication!! I would give no stars if I could. I hope the technician that shows up Monday is better prepared than the service company.
