I always use Travel Insured International Travel insurance for my leisure travel. My husband and I got Covid in Nov. 29 before boarding the Caribbean cruise on 12/2 this year. This is my first time to file a travel insurance claim and my experience with Travel Insured was wonderful. Wait time to speak with an agent was quick. Every agent I spoke to was extremely helpful. The online filing process was transparent and user friendly. My claim for trip cancellation reimbursement was completed within two weeks. Definitely provided relief during an uncomfortable situation.

Horrid company. Makes up covid rules as they go along. Was advised by a contact tracer to quarantine rather than travel. Cancelled trip and was told by Travel Insured that, since an emergency was not declared at the stateside location that I was travelling to (!?), they wouldn't pay. RIP OFF!!!!!!

The price is good for the amount of coverage, and they are generically communicative during the claim process. I unfortunately bought their rental car coverage in addition to the premium insurance, and my claim is still "under review" 5 months after my claim. It was a simple small scratch on car. I should suggest not to purchase their rental car coverage.

Our tour group had to purchase a trip insurance policy with this company. They would not accept credit card. Check only. A few days before we were to travel, we had not received our policy. Never did get a policy. Several others in the group did not either. The day before departure my came down with COVID. She checked with one of the local medical outlets and was told to take the home test. If positive, she needed in the home until she no longer was positive. I was advised to stay in the home with her. Sent them all the documents they needed for a cancellation to Mexico over 7 months ago. Customer service never replies. I’ve seen the documents 4 times in various formats (last one being .pdf). I’ll never receive my money. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!

This is likely a very profitable company because they apparently don't pay their claims. I have a "cancel for any reason" policy with CF Travel Insured purchased in 2020 for a European River Cruise that was rescheduled to December 2022 due to Covid. Unfortunately, earlier this year Crystal Cruises entered liquidation and cancelled all cruises. CF Travel Insured is refusing to refund the cruise policy until such time as the liquidator states what, if any, refund will be available. Because passengers are "unsecured creditors," the odds of any recovery are almost certainly non-existent given the massive secured debt structure of Crystal. I've been dealing with this company for nearly four months now. We took out a 2K dollar policy in March 2021 for a cruise ship to Cozumel, Mx and the Quintana Roo State. We were scheduled to leave on our trip in late Feb. 2022. Called before trip to modify dates-- on hold for one hour and they had to transfer me to a different department. Held again for one hour. Dates modified but then was unable to log into account. She told me it takes 24 hours to get password reset email. Never received email to change password. Now I am on hold again for 45 minutes plus. Grrrr!

I bought insurance from Travel Insured International through USAA to travel July 7,2021 to Aug 6, 2021. My father passed away on June 16th & had my trip interrupted to leave on June 18th instead. I called Travel insured International right away to inform them of the issue. I informed them that the  airline charged me extra $1911 to change the flight to an earlier date. The representative was very friendly and explained to me that since there are 3 of us each covered by $1400 , I should be able to receive the $1911 back from Travel Insured.  She then mentioned that I need to pay extra $72 for insurance to cover the difference in dates since it will be more than 30 days of coverage. This is a scum, never buy Travel Insured International Travel Insurance, you will not get refund for your trip, you will waist your money and time trying to file a claim which they will not pay anyway, there are about 400 complaints on BBB website filed recently against this company. I wish I knew it before dealing with Travel Insured International. Do not repeat my mistakes

Very upset. My claim was denied stating Covid-19 and closed borders are not included in the plan. All other persons in my party who purchased from somewhere else received 100% of their money within 60 days. Finally after 4 months they say they are declining my claim. The trip was over $11,000. $8000 was refunded. One leg of my trip the travel agency filed bankruptcy due to Covied-19 and that portion $3k was not refunded. I have no idea what the delay is with this company, I'm aware that we are in a pandemic and more than likely they are handling a lot of claims but its flat out disheartening and irresponsible when you submit a claim, and over a month later it still hasn't been reviewed to inform you if you submitted everything our if you need additional documentation, especially after submitting a follow up 3 times with no absolutely no response. We were on the 2020 Holland America World Cruise (3 Jan – 12 May) that was terminated in Perth, Australia on 22 March and we were instructed to return home to Florida. On 11 June 2018 we had purchased a $40,000 travel insurance policy from Travel Insured Intl (a Crum & Foster company) to cover this trip. I filed a Trip Interruption claim on 2 April 2020 in the amount of $30,309.63 but after working diligently to recover as much of our losses as I could from the various travel suppliers, I was able to reduce the amount of our initial claim with Travel Insured from $30,309.63 to $5,944.49. Terrible Company!!! I filed a claim in October 2020 and have provided all of the requested documents. Travel Insured International will not pay my claim until my NCL FCC's are voided. I have reached out to NCL and my FCC's can not be voided. NCL will allow a one time transfer to a person of my choosing but the underwriters will not accept that. The credits can not be transferred back to me so I'm not sure what the issue is. I'm sure once I allow them to expire, the underwriters will come up with another reason as to why they wont pay my claim. Do not use this company!! They will find any excuse not to pay a claim and it will take several emails and phone calls just to get an answer.

Horrible company!! BUYER BEWARE! I filed a legitimate claim in May 2020 and have provided them with all paperwork and information on more than 1 occasion. My travel agent that sold me the policy called her representative and they said they were “working on it”. It’s now 6 months later and they still have not processed my claim. I will be contacting my Attorney General’s office and the Dep’t of Finance to file a complaint as well.

If there is any good news here its that by judging other reviews I am in good company! I have two claims in. Been waiting over 4 months. Have attempted to check on the claims status using the web link they provide. Only thing you get is the claim(s) was received. Called numerous times and put on hold for nearly an hour (listening to irritating music constantly repeating and designed to drive you crazy) when someone finally answered they could only tell me the claims department received 30,000 claims in March alone, were swamped, had some claims people leave, and to check back in a month. I was sold a policy from Travel Insured by StarVista Live, the company that booked our cruise. We have to cancel due to me losing my job May 1, 2020 due to COVID-19. I filed a claim and supporting documents on 5/8/2020. That June, I attempted to call them several times, no answer. I emailed them three times, no reply. I finally contact my state department of insurance who opened an investigation of them. Two days later I had my check. IT TOOK FOUR MONTHS to get reimbursed. I purchased travel insurance from Travel Insured International on September 6th 2019. As fate would have it the spread of Covid 19 hit the United States and caused widespread cancellations of travel throughout the world. I contacted Costco Travel and was refunded the cost of the trip minus the air fare as it was a separate purchase. The air fare was $732.00 for two. I submitted a claim for reimbursement on May 12th and almost 2 months later nothing. I have spent hours on the phone on hold and submitted numerous request for an update and still have not heard anything from my request. I used them last year thinking they were reputable and fortunately did not need to file a claim because I am not sure if it would have been handled. Even paid extra for the cancel for any reason option.

I am writing this review to express my utter disgust with Travel Insured International and to warn other against purchasing their policies. My trip was canceled because my wife received a cancer diagnosis. Travel Insured International claims that her cancer was a pre-existing condition despite the actual cancer diagnosis coming several weeks after I purchased the policy. This company will make you jump through hoops, submit tons of paperwork and not reach out concerning the claim status. You will end up having to do all the heavy lifting if you have to file a claim. My wife broke her hip while on an Amazon River boat cruise in Peru. We had been required to buy travel insurance from Travel Insured International (TII). As a retired MD I knew what we need for her care, and I arranged for the US surgeon and and hospital where I had had my hip surgery. In numerous satellite and land telephone calls to TII I encountered several days of delay and refusal to offer help beyond insisting that she have the surgery in Lima.
