Signed up for insurance through Vrbo. Cancelled the next day and they (CSA) will not refund my money.
We filed a claim over a month ago and when calling to check claim that the insurance was cancelled by the cruise line which is a lie how do i proceed to get my refund
I have been waiting 2 years with NO resolution. Cancelled cruise because husband was hospitalized with legionaries disease for 2 months. Filled out all the paper work doctors notes etc. All I am getting is the run around. I have faxed, e mailed and postal service ..
I consider this company a complete SCAM! Received a call from one of their representatives after numerous emails trying to fully understand their refund policy and he confirmed that if I cancelled the trip for whatever reason before our rent date that all funds would be refunded. NOPE! Don't waste your money. So tired of people taking money.
My claim is now close to 6 months old with NO resolution. You have all of the paperwork that you requested but I get no response from your company. I canceled our trip because my wife is quite ill. I have left voice mails and emails and I get nothing. Now I have had to contact Generali (your parent company) and now I have contacted the Attorney General from my state to assist me. What a horrible experience.
This company sells loads of policies but never pays a claim. They string customers along and then deny each and every claim. I have purchased their policies for years and every time i have filed a claim it was denied. I was covid +; received an anti viral infusion and they denied my claim because it wasn't within 5 days of my check in date, regardless that i was in isolation and dreadfully sick from covid that affected my entire household. I guess i would have had to have died w/in the 5 days of check in to have received anything. Shop elsewhere for insurance
CSA Travel Protection-Generali has been a pain to work with regarding a claim. I have submitted all requested document via their portal as well as by US mail. Every time i speak with their representative they claim they have not received the required documents. I have been revered to a claims supervisor 3 times. No one ever calls me back.
I got stomach bug night of trip while there. Left a day later. They would not refund because I needed to see a doctor. Who does that for a stomach bug? The answer is no one. Hats off to them for basically stealing money in circumstances like this.
I purchased travel insurance for a property that I rented on VRBO. The host cancelled my rental that I had purchased . When I called after much time spent trying to get to the righ person to handle this matter about the trave insurance that I no longer needed, I was never able to actually talk to a person, but recived a robot answer that my payment of 361.00 would not be refunded. This is totally unfair because i did not cancel anything. It was the property owner who canclled.
Worst travel insurance ever. Our trip was postponed due to the COVID-19 virus causing the BVI border to be closed. I tried for weeks to get CSA insurance to change my travel dates to the revised dates (the border is now open). My requests fell on deaf ears. CSA travel insurance continually asks for documentation even after I sent them documents several times showing the revised dates. There is not a method to speak to a person.
Do not waste your money with this company. They will not honor their commitment. I looked at the reviews, unfortunately, after my experience. Most all reviews are a 1 and many saying it would me 0 if it was an option.
I have a CSA/Generalli travel insurance policy and have had a hard time getting them to process & pay my claim for medical expenses incurred in Mexico in 2021. They never return calls and I have submitted the requested travel & medical expense documentation 3 times (fax & email) but they keep emailing me that I need to submit the documents that I have already submitted. This is an obvious stalling attempt on their part.
My parents canceled their vacation rental 2 months ahead of time and now they have to fill out 5 forms just to get their money refunded!!!! The time it would take to get all of these forms filled out is absolutely ridiculous. My parents are 73 and 81 and cannot manage to all of this online. CSA is a travel insurance that has made it incredibly difficult - if not impossible - to get the refund that is deserved. I called customer service and was 20th in line!!! After a 25 minute wait I finally got to speak to someone but of course nothing could be changed. The website says "cancel for any reason", but that is NOT true!
Waste of money !!! My renters purchase this insurance and just because the renters lie about the damage they cause, the company denies the claim. Even with text message proof that they admit causing the damage. Horrible company !
Save your money. Don't buy from these scam artist. I purchased my policy prior to their insurance contracts excluding claims due to COVID. I was rejected all 5 times of pointing out why I was covered. (Quarantine issues) My discussions with an attorney resulted in the obvious of their refusal to pay my $17,000 claim to be flat out wrong. Yes, I'm suing. However, I will lose a percentage of the $17,000 to attorney fees. If you try to call them, there long drawn out explanations and keypad selections lead to more long drawn out explanations and keypad instructions. This company sucks. Takes forever to get through, forever to get a call back, and the representatives are clearly not happy in there jobs as they are super rude! They make it really difficult to file a claim!
This website is flawed. It shows 3.5 stars, but at the time of this writing, CSA had ZERO positive reviews. All reviews are negative. And this is another.
I'm with the other people that wrote reviews, scam, not a very good company. My mom found out she had cancer so we had to cancel our trip. Filled out all the paperwork through their portal, but they said they didn't receive it. Sent all the paperwork to the rep who had our account and 2 months later still nothing. We got lucky b/c the company we booked our trip through let us reschedule. It worked out for us but beware of this company as they are slow and want to take your money.
It’s a SCAM! Don’t buy, do not waste your money on CSA Protection. WestgateCruiseandTravel strongly recommended CSA and neither company will help me.

I have been trying to change my dates as my cruise was cancelled. I received 1 email stating that it would happen. That was in April. Since then I have heard nothing. My policy number is 2003W2916-R1 It was from 6/4/2021 to 6/ 11/2021 and I need it changed to 8/5/2022 to 8/12/2022. The destination is still Bermuda. Thank you for checking into this

Horrible company DO NOT PURCHASE!! They will do everything to not refund your money. Was a complete waste of my money. I was out $785!!! My son got covid 3 days before my trip. I had the covid coverage and they refused to refund my money. I am a single mom of 3 and was out of work I needed my refund desperately. This company is a scam!
Please do not waste your money on CSA Protection. My airline moved my flight multiple times and then cancelled by flight all together and CSA still refuses to reimburse me. At the end of the day, how can an insurance group not provide coverage for something completely out of my control.
DO NOT USE!! BIG WASTE OF YOUR MONEY!! Took the insurance for a summer vacation planned for 2021 from the VRBO website. A work conflict with a family member required us to cancel our reservation with VRBO. This is why we took the insurance. Upon contacting CSA Travel Protection we were given a list of "requirements" that we had to send to them (notarized documentation of why we had to cancel, bank records showing where we had paid for the condo, notarized documentation of the work conflict, a written request to the insurance company and then they would review our claim, and make a determination in 30 days IF we got our money back. Do not waist your money. We had a policy to cover damage on a VRBO. The owner of the property kept most of the damage deposit and said that he did not know a thing about the policy. We bought the policy on the VRBO web site when we booked the property. I can not get the owner to furnish all the necessary invoices. When I call CSA they take for ever to answer the phone and just give me the run around. They do not return phone calls and hope that I will just give up. Why buy a policy if you have to take the landlord to court to file a claim?
Rip off artists of the travel policy business. Take a person's money then call it insurance, Ha Ha what a joke! Just try and file an honest claim and you get a reason why they will not pay a claim, just becomes an outrageous paper chase. The suckers who unfortunately did not read these consumer reviews and pay good money thinking they are covered will get an unpleasant surprise if a claim is made. They make sure there are enough loopholes in policies it's like swiss cheese; a consumer finds out the hard way. They should be banned from selling their insurance scams in the USA. Shut the dogs down!!!
BEWARE Consumers! DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY ON THIS INSURANCE COMPANY. I wouldn't recommend you buying ANY travel or other insurance from this company. They will find all kinds of reasons why they can't pay a claim. Don't waste your money on buying a policy from these people; it's totally useless. You'll just be lining their pockets!! Their travel insurance is such a scam!
