Aptive is a residential and commercial pest control service. It's based in Sandy, Utah, but operates in major cities throughout 26 states. It treats a variety of flying and crawling insects as well as rats and snails.

This is not a personal rating of the technician; but for aptive overall. I requested via telephone as well as text message to have the inside of my residence treated. I specifically, stated that if both could not be performed at this time please cancel my service until both services could be completed. However, aptive ignored my request and on Saturday, May 16, 2020, sent a technician out to my home that apparently, sprayed outside without my notice or consent. And then sent a bill for payment. I am not very pleased with aptive right now. Moreover, moving forward if you cannot honor my request, we will need to terminate this agreement.
I am not paying for this service. I was not called before hand that he was coming. I wanted to have my garage sprayed on my next visit. He did not ring the door bell when he came. My dog comes and goes thru a doggie door. This means 1) he could have gotten out of the yard when he opened the gate and 2) he was exposed to the poison. What compensation is aptive going to give me for exposing my dog to poison. Normally, I keep the dog in the house when I know the technician is coming. I thought in the past I was told to keep the dog in the house for 30 minutes after the service. In this case, the dog was probably outside the entire service. The technician that applied the initial service was very polite and helpful in answering my questions. I hope you can look up the technician's name because I did not catch his name.

I was not very impressed with the technician who treated our yard. The sales person said that it would take 30 - 45 minutes to do the house and yard, and that he would spread granules in the grass to fight the insects. I don't think he spent more than 20 minutes before he was ready to leave. I asked him if he had spread the granules, he had not, but said he would do so. There was little evidence of granules, later in the day. We are still seeing roaches and other bugs around the house. All in all, I am very disappointed in the product and service.

I notice quite a good amount of spiders and root polys bugs around the house. I would like the tech to call in advance they can also spray inside the garage.
Very kind and informative. We are so pleased with the service and the time she took to completing it . She was thorough and focused. We’re excited to see the difference this service will make.
