MediPendant's equipment offers customers the ability to speak with and listen to the operator through a pendant. Its whole-house coverage compares favorably to many competitors and provides communication more than 600 feet away from a base station. The system is designed to work with or without a land line. However, no GPS-based system is available.

The company offers bilingual English/Spanish EMT-certified operators, but its website does not provide additional information about their training or procedures.

MediPendant allows cancellation of its service at any time. Customers are guaranteed a pro rata refund for unused service days. Customers can choose to be billed every three months, every six months, or every year for the service. Pricing starts at an effective rate of $29.95 per month, but to avail themselves of that price, customers have to select the annual payment option of $359.40. This may put the product out of reach of people on a limited income. Customers who choose to be billed quarterly pay an effective rate of $34.95 per month, which makes it more expensive than many of its competitors. A 10% discount is available to AARP members, but it is unclear whether this applies to bills over the life of the customer relationship or only to the first payment.

MediPendant has been in business since 2008. It is not accredited by the BBB, but it does have an A+ rating with zero complaints. It has no rating from TrustPilot. The company does not list any affiliations or endorsements on its website.
