I wish I didn't have to leave one star. We purchased this service for my elderly parents. Three times the alarm button got pushed accidentally and help came right away. The one time my dad was found by mother unconscious and not breathing on his bed, she pushed the button and started CPR on him. LifeStation did NOT get through to emergency services, they were put on hold!!!!! Come to learn that LifeStation calls the police station in your area for help and this is NOT an emergency number. They are not allowed to call 911. It took 21 minutes to get an ambulance and it only came because LifeStation finally told my mother to call 911 herself! Do not depend on this product! My dad almost... Read More
Extremely bad, untrained customer service. Placed order 12/30/2017. Called 1/2 2018 to cancel since no equipment. Person I spoke to 715pm cancelled order but failed to tell me they billed my credit card 1/1/2018! Called 1/3/2017 445pm cancellation is STILL in process. Once finally then refund is generated. They grab your money with 48 hrs, but consumer waits days for there money back. Would not recommend to my worst enemy. Life Alert here I come. Gave 1/2 star because that is lowest I can rate them
Zero!!! I was originally calling for info & pricing. The customer rep was nice and sold me on the system on a Saturday. Everything & payment was all set-up and told I would receive it that day or the next. I questioned today or Sunday and told yes and they would star billing me at that time. That was Saturday 12/39/17. When not received by 1/2/18 7:20pm I called to cancel everything. I was told they would try. Well they were able to because...billing does Not work one the weekends and would of processed yesterday or today!!! Wow such urgent medical alert tension. I will NEVER recommend this company to anyone if they want PROMPT medical alert service.
My Mother purchased LifeStation while she was a caregiver for my Father. The home health nurse talked her into it because if Mom fell, no one would be there to take care of either of them. She had it for a year after Dad passed away and almost canceled it but decided not to. A month later she fell and broke her hip and couldn't move. She pushed her button and they responded quickly. She had the lock box so they didn't have to break her door to get to her. She had the wristband so she never removed it and thank goodness for that. She could have died before someone found her laying on the floor. We are glad every day that she keeps this system.
If I could give them zero stars I would. My mother lived in an assisted living facility and only used the system once. The ambulance they called cost over twice what I normally paid for that service. My mother recently passed away and I called to cancel the account. I was told I had to mail back the box and button in order for them to cancel the account ($25 to mail it back to them). This in the middle of trying to make funeral arrangements. I asked them for a prorated rebate since I pay yearly (in order to get their "great rates") and I had just renewed two months prior. They said no, you got the better rate so we don't refund. Over $300 gone. And the button must have been... Read More
I have had a contract with LifeStation for the past few years. The service worked OK, but my problem is with the scam they run when you try to cancel the service. In spite of calling to tell them on Dec. 4 2014 to discontinue the service and that the equipment was in the mail, they still charged me for three months of service, beginning on Dec. 5. They claim that they won't actually cut service until they receive the equipment (it arrived at their corporation Dec. 16) and that it is their policy to charge for the entire next billing cycle. I feel totally ripped off for $75, hence am motivated to share my story with you. Next time I'll go with Bay Alarm.
