I called and ended service in October of 2020. I even asked if I needed to return the phone and was told no. Now they say I owe $118.44. They say they don’t have a record of my call so I’m on the hook for the bill. My account shows I paid October debt. That was my last due amount because I called and cancelled. Even the supervisor was unwilling to help. I’m expected to prove the exact date of the call. It was the day I wrote the check!! I’m not paying what I don’t owe. Very poor way to take elderly people’s money

Not limited to the house or yard, I think it's available to help anywhere that GPS will work. I made the mistake of reserving a motel room online, with no phone number given nor an address for my GPS. I wound up lost at night.... pushed the button, got Great Call and directions! Have had it for several years. Love it!

Do not buy a Great Call phone. The jitterbug phone is terrible. My husband as one and he does not know who is calling him when he get a phone call. It has been this way for about 2 month. So I would not waste my money on it. They adervisted to be a great phone service but they are not worth what you pay for them.

I was very disappointed with Great Call. I purchased a device for my dad which broke. I called to replace it and was told that they only had jitterbug flip phone devices, my dad has a cell phone and did not want a second one but, I was guaranteed that we would have a new lively mobile necklace device within two weeks and That those who have the flip phone will have priority in receiving the new release of the lively mobile necklace. I called after four weeks to find out where the necklace was and was told that there was no expected date for the release of the necklace and that I unfortunately had been misinformed. After more than 30 minutes on the phone and being “accidentally “... Read More

Got a notice from Great Call that my recently bought Mobile Medical Alert Plus Device is broken and that i need to return it immediately i then got a call from Best Buy to return it to the store and they will refund my credit card in 30 days and will give me a $50 dollar Gift Card. When i got to the store the assist. Manager asked us not to make a big deal as my wife was very upset knowing the device is defective and did not ever work. They tired to blame the cell company for the recalls but as it turns out it is the device that is faulty and not able to help when needed.

Notified about a recall on a device just purchased. Spoke to an agent and they stopped the service immediately, leaving my daughter with no service and / or other immediate service options provided. Made a request, not turn off the service until I could get a replacement. They refused. Would not recommend this service in any way. Has been handled in a very non-professional manner. I would think that this could leave GreatCall exposed to legal action if anyone is injured in the time that it takes for replacement services to be provided for their current customers. MK Michigan

I live alone and I have used this service for over six years. The representatives are very professional and prompt when getting an alert. I can use this in my car, when I am walking around my neighborhood or working around my home, inside or out. If anyone is hesitant, please let me assure you that this service is affordable and completely reliable.

I have been a Great Call customer for several years. I have only had to press the button for help once, but they responded immediately, correctly assessed my health issue and, I'm told by my doctor, Great Call's prompt and professional response saved my life. The fact that I can take them with me where ever I go is extremely comforting to me and my family. Thank you Great Call for your incredible service! Doug V. Cape Cod

I used a Great Call Lively for 23 days (returned it within 30 days for refund) because the battery did not hold a charge. Customer Service people said it needed to be on the charger overnight. That's too long and unreasonable for needs at night (stumbling to reach bathroom etc.) On 4 or 5 of those 23 days, it did not hold a charge until early evening 6 pm even though had been charged 8-9 hours overnight. My new lively mobile device battery would not last a full day and I was walking around without protection during the evening hours. I always charge it from 10pm until 5:45 am while I sleep. I called the company and they replaced it and the charger. Now the new one has failed twice since 12-8-18. I notice that the flashing green charging light stops flashing after about two hours. Has anyone else experienced this problem? Dave R. Arlington, Va.

when fully charged, unit doesn't remain charged for long enough. I can wear it at the house, but if I go out at night, it dies before I am ready to return home. the charge doesn't last long enough for an active persons average day.

We have the Great Call device to be less than an asset. Nightly charging is recommended (re: required) which means the unit must be removed, placed in the charger, taken back out and replaced on the patient daily. One more thing to add to the list. Also, the unit seems to recognize one location, but when the patient visits friends the location is still shown as, "home". We will be looking for a cellular based system.

I got my first Splash 5 years ago. Worked fine until last year when it stopped holding a charge. Got a Lively and so far it's fine. I like the Lively better than the Splash because the design is better. It is smaller and the button is larger. Makes me feel safer because the button flashes so I know it's working!

this jitterbug is awful. I had US Cellular for years until my husband and I retired. I wanted to get something a little less expensive. this proved to be the wrong move. I NEVER take my phone out of the house where I have WIFI service but I still get charged more that US Cellular ever charged me. Don't know why? I guess I will Just buy another phone since you can not use their phone with any other carrier.

My father had an emergency and the company only called one phone number listed for the first contact person even though there were two numbers listed for each of the four contacts. At the time, the first person could not be reached at the first number listed. When I called to find out the problem, they stated that a secondary contact would not be made unless my father was able to tell them to contact a second person. This is insane since there could be a time when my father could not relay his wishes. In this instance they did not ask my father if he wanted someone else to be called. What is the purpose of having multiple contacts if the company does not try to reach them?? When... Read More

My mom has had the Lively device for a year and we’ve already had it replaced once and now it doesn’t hold a charge more than 3-4 hours. My 80 year old mom try to contact Great call 2 or 3 times and had trouble getting through and disconnected. She was very frustrated and so when I tried to call today and explained our issue, I was told that we could get a new device but it would cost another $49.99 because it went out of warranty 2 weeks ago. When I complained I got the let me check with my manager and then came back with a sorry, cant do anything. I asked to talk to the manager and he wouldn’t let me saying “I already talked to her.”

I would not recommend that anyone get hooked up with GreatCall Phone service. The booklet that came with the phone had many pages missing. They did send me another booklet that had all the pages, but there are a lot of things that it does not cover. My voice mail was not working and when I called them, they said, "We have been having a lot of trouble with our voice mail." They gave me a phone number that I have to call every time I want to get my voice mail. I successfully used the number once. The next time I used it there were problems. The third time I called that number, it wouldn't work. It just kept repeating the message over and over. When I tried to hang up, no mater what... Read More
