However, coverage for refrigerators, washers/dryers, air conditioning units, pool and spa equipment and septic tank leaks and roof leaks are not part of the standard coverage, but must be purchased separately when the contract is signed. Cancellation Policy

The contract is non-cancelable, except for non-payment of contract fees, fraud or misrepresentation of facts by the customer, or when the contract is for Seller's Coverage and close of sale does not occur. If the contract is canceled, the customer is entitled to a prorated refund of the paid contract fee for the unexpired term, minus an administrative fee and any service cost incurred by the FNHW. A 10% penalty per month will be added to the refunded purchase price when not paid within 30 days of the date the contract was returned to FNHW. The contract holder may cancel the contract after the initial 20 days and will be entitled to a prorated refund of the contract fee less a $50.00 administration fee and any service cost incurred by FNHW. Cancellation requests must be submitted in writing.

Upon receipt of a warranty claim, the company pledges to contact a qualified subcontractor within three business hours and within 48 hours on weekends or holidays. Customers must pay a diagnostic fee of $65 on each claim, which must be paid even if the claim is subsequently denied.

However, it is not unusual in this industry for companies to have numerous negative customer reviews and complaints. The company has no presence on Trust Pilot. In 2012, the company settled a claim against it by the Insurance Commissioner of California which alleged that the company had unlawfully paid rebates and offered inducements to real estate brokers. The company agreed to cease and desist from the allegedly unlawful practices and paid a settlement of $1.25 million and attorneys fees of $175,000, but admitted no wrongdoing. In 2008, a class action suit was brought in California against Fidelity National which alleged false advertising and insurance bad faith. The case resulted in four separate appeals and was eventually refiled.

The service and Houdini non-coverage is TERRIBLE! I will no longer use Fidelity and am steering my dozens of real estate clients away from them as well. It took me 23 calls (many dropped or on hold for up to an hour) to talk to a human. Then it was someone outsourced who barely spoke English. Then the culmination was horrible. We're done.

If you were to offer me a free lifetime membership I would absolutley decline 15 out of 10 times. As a business focused on customer support, it's the thing they do worse. I enherited this insurance policy and it's been a complete waste of time and energy. HORRIBLE COMMUNICATION, ABOSLUTELY HORRIBLE!!! In one of many calls to the custom service, I had a challenge understanding the support person. I repsectively asked to speak with someone who English was their primary language. We have been without air conditioning for over a month now and it is 105 degrees here in TX. My husband is 80 and this is too much for us. Apparently part is on back order but they have a second company they COULD order from but do not. They are NOT customer friendly!

I started with FNHW in 2016 when we purchased our first home, The first year was good, however, the second year was totally the opposite. Long hold time, long time for a service request to be taken care of. I was even told by they can not guarantee the competence of the service providers. I try to get my call escalated to a supervisor but it never happens. We brought a new home last year and end up with them again, and this time they have gone from bad to worse. I place a service request on the 14 May, for my AC unit, the provider said it need parts and it took 3 consecutive calls from me before someone approve it on the 27th. I was given a home warranty by the seller via my purchase of a home. I put forth a claim to service a kitchen mounted microwave. While they were quick to send a service repair man to review it, the repairman was able to get the microwave to work for forty minutes. Improperly diagnosed the problem as a bad outlet. The morning after the visit, the microwave would no longer work and gave an error code translated to a bad electronic board. A service person verified that the outlets functioned properly and thus Fidelity scheduled someone to review the microwave a 2nd time. The worst company ever. I have cracked oven door, they sent someone over to take some pictures and later on saying it's denied. When I ask them for a quote, they asked me to ask the contract company directly as they have no information. They bounced me to resolution department and the wait time was 1.5 hours. I hung up because my phone is completely out of battery. I then tried the contract company, again nobody picks up the call. you can't find a single soul after getting into this loop. This company operates on a very frustrating business plan. They provide horrible customer service with hours of hold time, repetitive questions and multiple transfers just to go back on hold. They also drag out the claim process to such lengths as to get you to give up and fix things without them. You only benefit from this plan if you have redundancy and are able to wait them out. Multiple refrigerators, multiple A/C units, multiple water heaters, etc. I would not recommend a company who strives to provide this type of service.

FRAUD!!! This company is nothing but a scam. I'm tired of our government allowing companies such as this to stay in business and "legally" rob people of their hard earned money. This policy was purchased as part of a home purchase. Needless to say, every claim we filed was denied. It turns out they have a long fine print clause which states they will deny all claims for any reason. Don't believe me? Take your chance. We hold a valid AC insurance from Fidelity National Home Warranty. On 7/19/2021, our AC started leaking to downstairs unit, and failed to cool down, we contacted Fidelity National Home Warranty immediately, they are really slow, their AC contractor come to our property on 7/24/2021, their technician said TXV needs to be replaced, they need about one week to order the parts. The room temperature was around 85-90 degree in the afternoon, we told Fidelity National Home Warranty that we could not wait another week because it is leaking to downstairs, also too hot inside the condo, we have to fix it asap to prevent the further water damages. They are the worst company . I have been trying to get a hold of customer service to request service for two weeks. I finally get a hold of someone and they had worst attitude and I asked for a manager and the Supervisor Grey in the request claim dept said there was no one above her and refused to let me speak to a manager and she said she is the highest level. She was rude and did not care that I have been trying to get through for two weeks and had no resolution.

Our family has not be able to use our plumbing (bathroom, kitchen sink/dishwasher, and washer) for five days now due to sewage backup into our home. There has been NO progress with FNHW despite five phone calls to the "resolution" department. The results from my three "advocates": three unfulfilled promises and two hangups, one after a 36 minute wait on hold and the last after a 40 minute wait on hold. Hoping for the best tomorrow preparing for the worst.

I would rate zero if I could. I have two issues; first my water heater is not producing hot water. Second, my tow toilets are backed up. Their website says call for emergencies. I have tried for the last day and a half to get in touch with their service and/or claim department without success to initiate a claim. Because I was unable to contact them, I initiated the claim online and paid the service fee with the understanding that I would be hearing from the plumber. I also paid another plumber for my drain to be snaked to unclog my toilets. If I could rate zero stars I would. The contract clearly states reasonable effort would be made to expedite emergency requests. I believe AC not working in the middle of Phoenix AZ summer is an emergency. I had to call the company that I was referred to as they never reached out to contact me. Then I'm told that they will not be able to come out till the next day. How is that expedited?!? I recommend you spend a little more money and go with a different warranty company with better ratings. Unfortunately for me, this is the company my realtor recommended an worked into my purchase contract when I bought the house. I will definitely be switching when my contract ends this year.

I have coverage with Fidelity National Home Warranty (FNHW) since December 2018. Never had any issues with our home and never made a claim until our AC stopped working on June 2021. Made a claim online and paid $75 for FNHW to send contractor from Comfort Control Heating & Air (CCH&A), it took 1 week until CCH&A technician came over to check my AC, after the CCH&A tech came over and assess the AC, it took them another week to send the Diagnostic Report back to FNHW. Now as I'm writing this review, it has been 3 weeks our home with 2 children with HOT temperature without any assurance of the status of this claim. Please do not go with Fidelity National Home Warranty. They will take your money, but will ignore you when you call in for services. You have to wait anywhere from 30 minutes to one hour to finally get to someone. Many times the person who answered the call will either just hang up or say they cannot hear you and then hang up. Even after you managed to get through to someone, the contractors they used are not good. I had a pipe leak, they only put a patch on it and call it done. They didn't even patch up the hole. Just might be the worst company in the country. I’ve yet to experience a competent customer service rep or resolution specialist. You will wait more than an hour to talk to a rep only to have them say I don’t have the tools to help you, let me transfer you to a resolution specialist. You plead please don’t Disconnect Me! No stars! Run away from FNHW. It is a scam designed to take the initial cost of the warranty plus the fees for each service call and do nothing at all after that. Just bought a house, AC broke, the contractor that came out said a cable needed to be replaced but told FNHW a different thing. FNHW denied the claim based on that. There is absolutely no way to get anyone from service on the phone (wait times go over 1½ hours and then you get disconnected). The sales department doesn't care either and if you try to cancel the contract, they will tell you that is not-cancellable. Sounds like a racket to me. THE WORST HOME WARRANTY COMPANY EVER! I am in Texas and have been without my air condition for going on 3 weeks. I have expressed numerous times to them that we only have 1 unit for my home, I am nearly 9 months pregnant, and I have a toddler who is asthmatic. I learned on yesterday, 05/21/21, that there was never any indication on my service request that this was an urgent matter! It has been over 80 degrees in my home for going on 3 weeks! Customer service is TERRIBLE. Emergency process TERRIBLE. Bypass this company, with the quickness, for your home warranty needs. I will NOT be renewing this year.

FNHW is fraud company. Even if the vendor investigation recommends repair they will not approve it. They will 800 from you and give not service. This incident is as recent as in the year 2021.

Air Conditioner went out 3/9/21. A call was put in to Fidelity National Home Warranty company and "Right call Solutions" showed up on 3-16-21. Of course there was no solid time frame for the meeting of the tech. they called me the day of the appointment to let me know an approximate time of which they would be there??? (As if I have all day and an open schedule every day). The tech came out and stated the compressor was bad in the outside condenser, and that they would have to replace the compressor. Fidelity has sent somebody to my home twice now and I am still with out HVAC for 36 days now. This company is the worst. It takes them forever to approve a claim, and then they have to order the parts from their special parts warehouse that is in another state. It takes forever for them to get the parts in. Any time you complain they state that it states their could be delays in their contract. We have blown past all of those timeframes. Still no Air conditioner. This company sucks run do not use them.

My washer broke. It is 12 years old. I called Fidelity and it took 3 weeks to get the first appointment, and the first tech said it was the drum, and he couldn't fix it because he is a one-man operation, and it takes 2 people. The second tech took 2 weeks to get here, and he said it was the drum support. He then declared it was caused by overloading the machine. No reason given as to how he came to that conclusion. Terrible Customer Service, Hit and miss subcontractors, many with no license. When you are unsatisfied with their service, they do nothing to make the customer happy and if you cancel your contract, they keep all you contract price to cover the shotty pats and service they provided. The comapy has no faith or honor backing their product/service. TERRIBLE COMAPNY! I DO NOT RECOMMEND! IACTUALLY GIVE ZERO STARS!

AWFUL. I have had home warranties with Fidelity for 3-4 years total since 2012 for 2 different properties. From 2012-2014 they were really good and would fix my issues. If their vendors didn't fix the original issue they would send a new vendor. Since I got their home warranty again in 2020 the customer service and vendors have been AWFUL. I am often on hold for long periods of time. In October 2020 I put in a service request and paid a $75 service fee to have my dishwasher fixed as it was not cleaning my dishes properly and the soap dispenser wouldn't dispense soap.
