Cinch Home Services has been around for many years and offers some of the most comprehensive home warranties in the industry. It's a little more difficult to compare its costs to competitors because service fees and plans can vary by region, but you can get a quote online to see what plans cost in your local area. Cinch home warranties offer one unique feature that sets the company apart from many competitors: a Homeowners Insurance Deductible Reimbursement. The company will reimburse you for up to $500 if you make a homeowners insurance claim for a covered item. That can ease the sting of having to pay a deductible on your claim. There are limitations attached to this feature and it is only included with Cinch's Complete plan, but it still represents a savings opportunity. As with any home warranty provider, make sure you read the sample contract first and ask the company about any questions you have so you don't have any unexpected surprises when you go to file a claim. Cinch’s contracts are easy to read and clearly outline what’s covered and what’s not.

We have been trying to get our dishwasher fixed for over two weeks. Continued delay by "sub" contractors and getting approval to repair has really been a nightmare. Getting anyone to care, has been a nightmare. Some days even finding that we had filed for a repair is nearly impossible. Yikes, customer service stinks. Service really stinks.

After 5 years as a customer, they issued a letter telling me they're cancelling my account and not renew. Just got off the phone with their customer service, and no explanation given as to why. They have no answers just said they're not renewing. Don't use these clowns.

So far, they’ve been terrible. We had a heat pump go out and have been struggling to get it fixed. First, they tried to double charge me on my deductible (plus a $15 inflation fee). They said the charge didn’t go through, but I have an email from them saying it did. My bank also said there were no problems with the transaction. So I finally call back and have to pay the $200 deductible again, and get put on the emergency list to get a contractor. I call the next day for an update, and am told they don’t have a vendor in my area who can do it. They try calling some others, but no one in their network is willing. I now have to wait two days for them to continue to attempt to find... Read More

I was just given the names for two HVAC service providers in cities quite distant from me since Cinch has no one to provide service in my metropolitan area. Both providers said no thanks, and one told me that Cinch doesn't pay its providers, owes him "a bunch of money," and he won't do anything for them. This has got to be the worst service I've ever encountered.

Worst company ever. Been with them 13 years and our air conditioner has been down for a month in Nevada 100+ degree heat. They won’t help us get our ac repaired!!! Do not use this company! I’d give zero stars if it was an option!!

ZERO STAR! DO NOT PURCHASE A CINCH WHOLE HOME WARRANTY. I have had this warranty since 2019 and hadn't had any issues until this year. It took over a month to repair my dishwasher. I have been waiting for my washing machine to be repaired since May 27, 2023. I am going on 7 weeks without a washing machine, I have taken 4 days off of work to wait for a 9-hour period for the appointments to not have my repair completed. They have sent the wrong parts or no parts. I should have received a new appliance on July 3, 2023. They had two weeks to find the part to repair my Samsung washing machine. I called on July 7, 2023, since I had not heard from them about the part being ordered. The part... Read More

ZERO-ONE STAR: I am on hold for my 18th telephone call with Cinch Home Services to have a service technician or contractor service my attic fan, which is a covered item and I have in good faith paid the $115 service fee. EACH and EVERY time I am given a name and telephone number for a company that is no longer in business. When I call back to state that the contractor's telephone number is out of service, I am told that "Dispatch" will contact me with a different contractor, but each time I am given the name and telephone number for SAME out of business contractor. How is it that I can easily look up the status of a business, but Cinch cannot; when I call back and demand that the customer... Read More

I’d give less than 1 star if I could. I currently have Cinch by default. Originally signed up with Sears 18 years ago. The customer service is far beyond sub-par, they are hard to understand and they are unprofessional and inept. They work with 3rd party technicians that are also not qualified technicians. 5 technicians out and still not working. It is the WORST customer service I have encountered. Contacting an attorney. It’s a matter of principle.

Horrible customer service!! I asked to speak with a supervisor three times. I have been calling since Tuesday. Spoke with three different reps and NO ONE will get me a supervisor/manager!!! UNACCEPTABLE when I am paying my hard earn money for services. Not to mention you can't understand the call takers. 0 STARS

I’ve filed two claims for repairs. Both times repairs couldn’t be done for 1 week. This does not help if your air conditioner or freezer goes out. Y experience pay premium , pay deductible 125, now a surcharge of15. They you are forwarded to a third party that will try to contact you to set up appointment . Between the time spent talking to cinch, then the 3 party, they who ever they contact a waste of time and money

Refrigerator not working. 2 weeks to send a repairman to diagnose the problem, 4 more weeks to get them to send someone to install new parts and the refrigerator still won't cool. Call takers are hard to understand and was given a phone number of someone local who may be able to fix it. What a scam. Who can live without a refrigerator for 6 weeks and there is still no fix insight.

This company does not take care of their customers. They are, however, very efficient at collecting their monthly payment. But there is no follow thru with customer service. I have been getting the run the run around since December 9 concerning my range. The service provider cannot find the parts, and they notified the warranty company on Jan 3 the parts could not be found. As of yet, the warranty people have not offered a solution i.e., a replacement or ......They instead point the finger back at the service provider and the provider points the finger back at them. I want the issue resolved. They have my cell number and email address but fail to contact me with any updates. They... Read More

UNETHICAL BUSINESS PRACTICES. Cinch is delaying response to my service request for a broken furnace. Maryland has experienced weeks of sub-zero temperature this December, and I am without a furnace. The HVAC company has stated that the furnace must be replaced, but Cinch has become unresponsive. The customer service by phone is horrible. The rep. told me that I cannot speak to a supervisor because she has no supervisor. The rep. I have been emailing has stopped responding. The online portal shows my services request as close. How can it be closed when I have no working furnace? AVOID CINCH!!

DO NOT USE!!! Terrible customer service and terrible technicians to perform work. My AC went out on this summer. Cinch sent a tech out on 07/03/2022 to repair a control panel. The repair was never completed by Harpers Heating and Air nor would they return my phone calls or text messages. Nor would they answer any calls from Cinch. After weeks of waiting and no response from Harpers, Cinch sent another tech company (EZ Heating and Air) out in September and they recommended a new unit. Cinch declined to to pay for this new unit. After Cinch declined to pay for a new unit as requested by EZ repair they sent out Sears Home Services in October. They once again charged me another... Read More

If this is the standard for home warranties now, I would never purchase one again. I have a not very old dishwasher which is broken--apparently a common problem with this make of dishwasher. I've been waiting for almost two months for Cinch to make sure it's fixed or replaced. They work with a middle-company and a local repair company which is poorly rated. Absolutely no accountability or commitment to make sure the product is fixed or replace, which is the only thing I've been paying for. This is my first claim since I purchased the plan over a year ago and am flabbergasted that I have paid a lot for something which appears to be basically a bogus product.

This is the worst warrantee company. Where do I start. They send really sketchy service providers and in all cases I’ve never had anything fox d. They either pretend they can’t or just show up so they get paid and collect the deductible from you. I’ve spent more money using therm because they can never fix anything and then I have to spend money to fix it myself. You will always stay on hold. You will never get someone that you understand. They all have heavy foreign accents. They have horrible customer service. You will have to call them everyday several times a day to ensure your claims get processed. Their platforms and systems never works so if you try to avoid hold times and go... Read More

Terrible cusomer service, I had to wait 5 weeks for a service call only to find out the day of the service call the provider did not service mmy area. This was only after I called to find out where the technician was after waiting 6 hours for them. They are now trying to find someone who sevices my area. On top[ of that they sent me the incorrect part for the repair. I have a defective display on my stove and they sent me an ignition switch. I have now called three time to remedy this only to be on the phone for almost an hur and end up getting transferred to some unrelated company who stated, "Yeah, we get Sears call allt the time" we have nothing to do with them. While I understand that I must know what I signed up for, I do not understand how the representative failed to remind me that one of the services wasn't covered. Had I known at the time of the call, I wouldn't have proceeded with the claim. It was the plumber who told me about the 1) incomplete work order and 2) part of my request wasn't covered. Since 9/16, I have been going back and forth to get the money refunded. 3 hours and 9 people later, everything I was told was incorrect ending with a call to Sears saying they couldn't help me with the repair. The company was real quick to collect the money fee, though. Today I was denied speaking to a supervisor. Based on this last week, I... Read More

Worst company on the planet. Our water heater went out on September 3. We called and filed a claim. We were told that we would receive an email with instructions. We received the email however it merely stated the claim had been filed. At that point they deducted the deductible from our account. It is now September 6 and still no action from this company. After repeated calls and receiving different answers from each agent I’m now looking at a 4th day taking cold showers. The only thing they appear to be efficient at is taking the money from your account. This without a doubt the most poorly run business I have had the displeasure of dealing with. Worst company!! Horrible customer service! Not responsive! Doesn't approve claims, and when they are denied they don't give you explanation they just ignore you. Most importantly the customer service reps are very unprofessional . If I could rate them 0 stars I would. You pay all this money and they are a joke! Complete scam artists. Highly recommend any homeowner or business owner not to invest into this "company".

Do not at all costs use this company. We have a broken air conditioner- weather is humid over 100 degrees for 2 weeks. We call - have had this warranty for years and barely use. They assign us a company we never heard of. We call and they can't get out for a week. We call back and ask for different provider. They say none of their providers can come before that. Fine we wait. Their provider comes and says it leaking coolant and way to low, shuts on and off so believes there is a mechanical issue, and the company (yes that the wonderful home warranty sent out last year) put in wrong collant for system and contaminated the lines as well (2we paid for that wrong coolant by the way because...
