Choice Home Warranty offers existing homeowners two plans, each of which cover a mix of systems and appliances. The primary difference between its Total plan and its Basic plan is that refrigerators, washers and dryers, and air conditioning systems are not included in the Basic Plan. Optional coverage for such items as pools and spas, well pumps, and septic systems is available for an additional fee. We requested a quote for a single family home of less than 5000 square feet in a small midwestern city. The premium for Choice Home Warranty's Basic was $47.85 per month and the premium for its Total pan was $54.95 per month. With the cost difference between the two plans being only about $7 per month, to our mind, the Total plan a better value overall because it includes coverage for three of the most common appliances: refrigerators, washers, and dryers. It also includes coverage for air conditioning systems. The company's co-pay for a service call is $85, slightly less than most comparable companies. The co-pay may be reduced further with special discounts and promotions.

Cancellation Policy

The contract shall be non-cancelable by the company except for nonpayment of contract fees or service fees, fraud or misrepresentation of facts by the customer, or by agreement between client and company. Customers may cancel within the first 30 days of the order date for a full refund of the paid contract fees. If canceled after 30 days, the customer shall be entitled to a pro rata refund of the paid contract fee for the unexpired term, less a $50 administrative fee and any service costs incurred by the company.

I had a great experience with Choice Home Warranty. The technician arrived right on time, which I really appreciated. He was professional, knowledgeable, and took the time to thoroughly check the washer. Although the issue couldn’t be repaired, I was very pleased with how the situation was handled. They approved a replacement, which gave me peace of mind and showed they stand behind their coverage. Overall, the process was smooth, and the service exceeded my expectations. I would definitely recommend them to anyone looking for dependable home warranty service.

contacted Choice warranty regarding my dryer, I called instead of completing on the internet. My representative was clear in explanation and delivered. The technician from Eyebee Solutions came out prepared and completed the repair in a timely manner, and since I was able to give the error code, he had the correct part with him. This was my first call after having Choice for a few months (7) and all was GREAT!

The technician did a pretty decent job. I am not sure if this comment is supposed to be specific to this repair and the technician or general about CHW. If the latter, my rating would be the same but I would say more: I am very happy with CHW for the most part. Service quality of the technicians assigned greatly varies, but the CHW people always respond with care and try to meet my needs. So, they value customer satisfaction. I had a great deal more than 10 years ago; a lifetime locked rate when you renew. Even if you move, you can keep it and transfer it to your new home besides the option of transferring it to the new home owner (however many years left on it-- a good selling perk!...Read More

For the most part I would recommend is service, but when it comes to a HVAC problem. I think there should be a faster option. If is 90+ outside and humidity is at 90% + waiting for 3 days to get it serviced is way to long.

The repairman was great and very experienced with what was needed on our built-in GE microwave and did a good job of evaluating the microwave. Unfortunately, he was unable to repair our microwave because the parts required to fix it according to GE are no longer available.

I recently had a problem with my sewer system backing up. I contacted Choice Home Warranty and they were able to schedule a plumber the very next day. (Capital City Plumbing). We were able to work with the city to verify that the sewer mainline had a clog and then had the clog removed, all in the same day. Glad to have Choice for my home!
