Their plans offer protection against the cost of repair or replacement of major systems and appliances in the home via several plans. They always have someone available to answer calls. 24/7. They are quick to respond to get the problem solved.
We researched several Home Warranty companies online and Choice got great reviews, vs our current company Fidelity National, who got several not so good reviews. I called Choice, and their sales person Alonso was extremely knowledgable and offered us a program that included our Spa and Central Vacuum that Fidelity didn't offer at a reasonable price. Alonso also signed us up for a premiere program that saves us $150/month over what we paid Fidelity. I highly recommend Choice Home Warranty
The service technician was helpful and through but the CHW is less than desirable. the service is slow and all claims seem to be to be deniable. Would definitely not recommend CHW to anyone!!
Service provider was professional, knowledgeable and very effective in addressing and resolving the problem.

Choice HW has horrible service. I got contradictory emails. One said that $700 in expenses were not covered for my water heater replacement and the next email said : no charge.
It takes forever to get a response. Most of the time the techs are terrible at their jobs, make a mess and attempt to overcharge for expenses not covered. Of course you can't reach ank or moreyone on the phone to verify.
CHW will also charge you a double deductible if that works for them. If you need AC help in a 100 degree heatwave, plan on being hot for at least a weekThey are NOT responsive to phone calls or emails.

I was impressed that after submitting a claim, a service provider was assigned and showed up within a day. What wasn’t good was that I was required to pay the $100 deductible when I submitted the claim, and then expected to pay the contractor $100 after he finished. I called CH and was told that I wasn’t charged by them and to pay the contractor. A bit confusing. Frustrated that my claim was denied but understood after speaking with the woman when I appealed why it was denied. Still, fingers crossed that the next time I have a claim, they’ll approve it!
I never thought we would have someone as repairman, Brian. He was amazing.
We filed our claim on Dec 27, 2025 and we are still waiting for agreed upon settlement so we can replace our refrigerator. this is a ridiculous amount of time to be waiting for a refrigerator. We are fortunate that it is winter and cold enough to put our food in the garage.
We had a tech out on Jan 2, 2026, and nothing happened. Turns out the case was closed because they never go the info filed. No one contacted us or anything. I had to call numerous times to get a different tech out ( on January 16, 2026m he was wonderful) and he filed the info and we had an answer that day. It did take over 24 hr to have a tech call for the service but they completed the fix in a timely matter.
Choice Home Warranty has a great app which makes filling a claim very easy. I received prompt feedback from both CHW and a local technician. I was satisfied with the turnaround time for the technician to visit. He diagnosed the issue and told me how he would fix my stove. He was completed within 30 minutes. I was very happy with LoneStar Appliance Repair.
As usual in dealing with Choice Home Warranty our service request was answered quickly and a repair was completed within 48 hours. Our service technician, Rueben was professional, polite, friendly, informative and efficient. The new part to fix our LG washing machine was stocked on his truck so, he replaced the broken part and we were washing clothes within an hour of his arrival. Thanks, again to CHW!

You can submit a claim 24/7, including holidays, via phone, online, or app. The company utilizes proprietary technology to begin the dispatching process after a claim is filed. The company has recently updated their plans increasing coverage and has fewer limitations. Their plans and optional coverage can cover over 25 major systems and appliances.
Choice Home Warranty earns a B rating from the Better Business Bureau and has a positive rating on Trustpilot, but in this industry, negative customer reviews far outnumber positive ones.
