Just an update on my recent washing machine claim.
Excellent, flexible on terms of replacement! I was able to get a check so I could shop independently for a good price on a new washing machine. This was an entirely different and very positive change from my last claim.
Thank you Choice for allowing me a new washer. Mine was 16 years old!!!
Do not use this company. They had to send three vendors over a period of 3 months time for the same issue, which was a cracked hose in my refrigerator. I cannot access this area, the ended up denying my claim stating misuse. All of this after charging 100 per visit and one vendor had a 200 dollar trip fee as well. I could have purchased a new fridge. Steer clear. This is a fraudulent company. As we speak I have a lawyer working to get some of my fees back.
Technician was very knowledgeable about the situation. Offered good suggestions on how to fix the problem.

They always find a loophole to make it not be covered. We paid to be covered for 3 1/2 years and out of three claims, they covered the cheapest one and denied the other two.
Very helpful and explained what he was doing. My pool company found a really bad leak and turned pump off at the breaker box so I wouldn't loose a note water. Sometimes when I make a claim it can be a wk or two and other times its the next day. But this company came the same day and fixed my pool and I was thankful bc Pinch a Penny wanted $225 to fix the problem vs the $75 copay I owe when I call in a claim. Very thankful.
Understanding, professional, and prompt attention to detail and my need for prompt repair due to my medical condition.
Great guy and fast efficient service. Had my water heater installed less than 24 hours after first appointment. Usually takes weeks to get anything fixed.
I recently requested service for my washer. The company they sent was excellent and provided a technician who was also excellent. Unfortunately it appears that my washer cannot be repaired so, at this point just waiting to hear the next steps in the process. So far so good. I will repost once I know that they will actually provide a solution to replace it. Fingers crossed! .
Technician that came to check my oven last time was more knowledgeable. He explained what needs to be done, repair wise, but needs to submit to Choice Home Warranty the findings for approval repair. So far, I have not heard from the A Plus Plumbing or Choice Hone Warranty when my oven will be fixed! I’m still waiting!
I will give you a better rating after I get the replacement issue resolved.
The agent was very nice. I appreciate having the opportunity to have the peace of mind this affords me.
However, it would be so much better if you offer the customer in the beginning of the conversation. People are too smart nowadays so they know this game.

They have been great. I have gotten so much benefit from this coverage. They have sent out a couple of crappy techs, but most have been good. When the appliance can't be repaired, they only give a gift card to partially cover replacement (like 40%), but if it can be repaired they take care of it for their small claim fee. I have had my washing machine fixed twice, dryer fixed 3 times, dish washer fixed 3 times, then got a gift card, refrigerator fixed once, microwave fixed twice, had a dishwasher in my rent house fixed twice, rent house refrigerator fixed once, got a gift card to replace rent house dryer, and on and on. This company is not helpful that fail to help with past claims. I never got my claim resolved.
First of all it took for me to call to get an update after4 days of submitting claim. Then the day the tech came I had no warning other than him calling to tell me he'll be at my house in 2 minutes. Luckily I was home. The tech was really nice, but he was frustrated with the delay responses from Choice. He was here well over and hour waiting for a response. He felt like his time was being wasted, when he could have been working the issue.. So I paid the tech in full to replace pool motor, because I wasn't sure when he would receive a response for approval. My first experience with customer care:
I signed up online and my address was wrong. However, Choice sales called immediately after to discuss more plan option. She was rude when I didnt want to be upsold and transferred me so fast to customer service that I didnt even catch the last words of her sentence she was speaking to me.
The Person I Talk With Today Was Amazing He Was Able To Answer All My Questions And Was Very Helpful With The Service And Quote
You can submit a claim 24/7, including holidays, via phone, online, or app. The company utilizes proprietary technology to begin the dispatching process after a claim is filed. The company has recently updated their plans increasing coverage and has fewer limitations. Their plans and optional coverage can cover over 25 major systems and appliances.
Choice Home Warranty earns a B rating from the Better Business Bureau and has a positive rating on Trustpilot, but in this industry, negative customer reviews far outnumber positive ones.
