Choice Home Warranty offers existing homeowners two plans, each of which cover a mix of systems and appliances. The primary difference between its Total plan and its Basic plan is that refrigerators, washers and dryers, and air conditioning systems are not included in the Basic Plan. Optional coverage for such items as pools and spas, well pumps, and septic systems is available for an additional fee. We requested a quote for a single family home of less than 5000 square feet in a small midwestern city. The premium for Choice Home Warranty's Basic was $47.85 per month and the premium for its Total pan was $54.95 per month. With the cost difference between the two plans being only about $7 per month, to our mind, the Total plan a better value overall because it includes coverage for three of the most common appliances: refrigerators, washers, and dryers. It also includes coverage for air conditioning systems. The company's co-pay for a service call is $85, slightly less than most comparable companies. The co-pay may be reduced further with special discounts and promotions.

Cancellation Policy

The contract shall be non-cancelable by the company except for nonpayment of contract fees or service fees, fraud or misrepresentation of facts by the customer, or by agreement between client and company. Customers may cancel within the first 30 days of the order date for a full refund of the paid contract fees. If canceled after 30 days, the customer shall be entitled to a pro rata refund of the paid contract fee for the unexpired term, less a $50 administrative fee and any service costs incurred by the company.

The technician was personable, kind and was easy to engage. He was customer friendly and knowledgeable. My ultimate frustration is with Choice Home Warranty that declined my warranty request because they determined the junction box was not installed properly. The Junction Box for the light fixture was installed properly based on the electrical standards for the city and state I live in. Extremely frustrating. I have appealed the decision. More to come.

I originally had an appointment for a partial home power outage. The appointment was scheduled 4 days out. I contacted the contractor who happened to be in the area, and he said he could come now. He was here in less than 10 minutes. Knew exactly what the issue was, and it was done within 30 minutes. One of my best experiences with a contractor with Choice Home. I'm very satisfied.

My hvac condenser broke and Choice got me a wonderful service company. Choice responded quickly, allowed me an account manager for my claim, and once I approved the claim, Choice got the parts to the service company in 2 days and the hvac company came out 2 days later and I now I have a new system. Great team work and I'm very satisfied with Choice and this selection of hvac settings company!

I was not home but my parents were. My parents said the electrician came and replaced the loose wire in their bedroom, and gave us 30 days warranty if anything happens. He was an excellent technician who paid attention to the details and have it repaired.

My air conditioner went down and they sent a Sears truck to check it out, the guy had to come back twice for pictures. Than had someone else come and do the same thing. They texted me and said they approved the claim, now I'm just waiting, been down about 20 days thank goodness it has not been hot.

Home warranty solution assigned quickly someone who sent me a message to confirm the appointment and the technician arrived at the agreed time. He took the time to explain to me what needed to be done and answered all my questions. The work was completed efficiently, and my issue was resolved much faster than I expected.
