I purchased the insurance 5 months ago. This was the first time I used it. Water heater was leaking at the bottom. CHW could not find any technician to come out and fix/replace it. I was told to look for a technician myself. I found one who showed up right away but the process to get pre approved the repair took too long and he left without doing anything other than telling me it needed to be replaced. The cost he quoted was $6,000. CHW authorized $1,300 for the replacement! That was disappointing since I assumed they would go with the max allowed for any appliance which is $3,000! He was not very helpful because he wasn't able to fix my stove.
I called because my kitchen sink was clogged. The next day a plumber came to the house and the problem was solved. Can't ask for any better than that.
I paid my copay of $65. He would have charged $125.
Thank the Lord it was not a busted pipe in the ground.
The $100 pre authorisation fee was not returned to my financial institution account. I would have been notified by my institution that it was deposited into my account.

The only thing that I was happy about. Was that my stove was being replaced. However, it wasn’t until I called I realized I was being cheated! Your company only offered a minimum of $420. To replace a $1300 gas stove? When I complained I was simply informed that was how it works! Which was total BS! Your company collected a lot from us for your services. Yet we didn’t receive a far response from your company! So my opinion is your company sucks well water! Your rating doesn’t show the true rate? Half a star is all I could give!

The technician contacted me before the service visit and asked several questions to make sure he brought the correct parts. I provided the make and model of my built-in microwave and explained that it stopped working while I was defrosting food. The lights went out, and the unit stopped functioning completely. When the technician came to my home, he diagnosed the problem but did not have the needed part. He also explained that, because the microwave is over 25 years old, the part might no longer be available. I used my warranty for the first time and it was quick. My issue was resolved and so appreciative for having this company for all my warranty needs!

I just purchased this Home warranty and I haven’t used yet, so I can not give a honest opinion yet. But I will update my status in the future. But customer service was very helpful at the time of my purchase and offered Military discount.
The sales pitch for your product is a bit pushy and I asked several times to see a copy of the agreement and was told after I pay. Well, as suspected the limitations in 12 months on an item is $3k. That does not replace my refrigerator or my HVAC.
This is why I wanted to review the agreement before agreeing to give up my credit card information.
The tactics to get a sale or close the deal is not good.
I am extremely happy with this company. Our washer start making very loud noises. I called in and reported the problem. Next day I received a phone call from a repair shop vendor and was told they will come in next day. The technician came in and diagnosed the issue. Next day I received an email from the Choice that they are giving us a Lows gift card to replace our washer. Very quick resolution.
Great option for home warranty. Must be aware that contact with providers is not always too easy.

This was the worst experience I have ever had with a home warranty company. What joke from the time of contact until we were sick of being put off. They left us with an active water leak for over 3 weeks. We been put on hold time and time again as well as hung up on when we asked to cancel our policy. Wouldn't wish them on my worst enemy.
My furnace was reported out Dec. 6. My first appointment was to be on the 18th, which was unacceptable. I had to complain and got a new appointment for the 10th, which was still 5 days later. Repair was covered, which I appreciate, but won't be completed, until the 12th. Luckily, they were able to give me temporary heat, on the 10th.
Technicians were AWESOME! Professional, on time, cleaned up after themselves, and took the time to explain in detail what the issue was and what they were doing. Thank you Chris
They found a plumber and approved fast which was Eddyson plumbing. They was here with the issue fixed the very next day. Had another issue with garage door filed a claim a week ago and im still waiting.
Choice has helped us repair several things in our home. We've had appliance service, electrical, and HVAC thus far, and the technicians we have been assigned were great. It generally takes 24 hours to get your ticket assigned and most times we have only had a 2-3 day wait for service, which has worked out fine, as they were not emergencies. This has saved us a good amount of money on costly repairs that otherwise would have been expensive to deal with. Parts were covered, and all we paid was the service fee. For the year we've had Choice, it has definitely been a worthwhile investment.
You can submit a claim 24/7, including holidays, via phone, online, or app. The company utilizes proprietary technology to begin the dispatching process after a claim is filed. The company has recently updated their plans increasing coverage and has fewer limitations. Their plans and optional coverage can cover over 25 major systems and appliances.
Choice Home Warranty earns a B rating from the Better Business Bureau and has a positive rating on Trustpilot, but in this industry, negative customer reviews far outnumber positive ones.
