Choice Home Warranty offers existing homeowners two plans, each of which cover a mix of systems and appliances. The primary difference between its Total plan and its Basic plan is that refrigerators, washers and dryers, and air conditioning systems are not included in the Basic Plan. We requested a quote for a single family home of less than 5000 square feet in a small midwestern city. The premium for Choice Home Warranty's Basic was $47.85 per month and the premium for its Total pan was $54.95 per month. With the cost difference between the two plans being only about $7 per month, to our mind, the Total plan a better value overall because it includes coverage for three of the most common appliances: refrigerators, washers, and dryers. It also includes coverage for air conditioning systems. The company's co-pay for a service call is $85, slightly less than most comparable companies. The co-pay may be reduced further with special discounts and promotions.

Cancellation Policy

The contract shall be non-cancelable by the company except for nonpayment of contract fees or service fees, fraud or misrepresentation of facts by the customer, or by agreement between client and company. Customers may cancel within the first 30 days of the order date for a full refund of the paid contract fees. If canceled after 30 days, the customer shall be entitled to a pro rata refund of the paid contract fee for the unexpired term, less a $50 administrative fee and any service costs incurred by the company.

Fast response rate and quality technicians. Ihave had a few issues over the years with regards to my fridge, garage door and tub and each time Choice Warranty took care of it quickly.

You basically denied a claim based on language. The estimate detailed the installation procedure, which you interpreted as all adjunct. Common sense says that the figure quoted for unit and installation was fair and appropriate. $600 for just the heater and installation would be standard with no modifications. I spoke with the provider J&L and they said their language was standard for all warranty replacements and was standard. Apparently, you are just looking for ways to deny a claim.

The technician didn’t carry any parts and has to order the parts and will return in 4-5 days to make the repairs. I told him I was going to be out of town and he couldn’t get to the control box next week. He said he didn’t need to get to the control box. He took pictures of the malfunctioning heads and would make the repairs. He told me I can test them myself when I get back. A true sprinkler repair company would have sprinkler heads with them and would be certain that the repairs have been made correctly and completely. I think this ultimately is a reflection on Choice and their selection of cheaper contractors.

Lydia & Nevada did NOT help me at all... your company issued $272 for my dishwasher to be purchased at LOWES... The most inexpensive unit there costs $399 and the cheapest BOSCH is $599! Nevada simply "attacked" me with your procedures which ALWAYS benefits YOU and NEVER benefits ME! WHEN I signed up for your service for 5 years term, the sales agent told me that your policy will provide TOTAL REPLACEMENT COST for ALL appliances that they replace; I hate to say that "he lied" BUT HE DID LIE!!! If I end up completing my warranty service with your company CHOICE, there is NO POSSIBILITY of me re-signing with your company!!! You really need to get honest sales agents AND change your... We filed a claim on a disposal that rust had eaten a hole through it and was leaking water onto the floor of the cabinet under the sink. The claim was denied, claiming that that's not normal wear and tear. The warranty company simply doesn't want to pay the bill to replace it.

I signed up for the Total Plan. Ethan was very helpful and offered some discounts. I switched after 9 years with another home warranty company because I got the same basic coverage for less than half the price. He was very helpful and made signing up very easy.
