Their systems are fully customizable, feature 24/7 professional monitoring, and can all be viewed and controlled remotely via their app. Vivint requires professional installation and a 42-60 month contract.

System was installed on 11/16/16, stopped working properly on 11/19/16. Camera does not record properly, system does not arm when instructed via phone, tamper warnings from detectors when no one is around. Phone calls take forever, reps try to sell more bells and whistles rather than concentrate on fixing problems. Took two weeks to get repair service at the house on 11/29/16. Was told the system would reboot and be fixed in 2 hours. Tech left and the system now have more glitches. DO NOT trust Vivant, they don't care.
I have had Vivint for approximately 9 months. I have had to have service about 7 times. NOT GOOD! The worst part is they did not show up for four scheduled appointments. It got so bad that they released me from my contract due to their inability to keep an appointment.
Worst security company ever. We sold our home and they wouldn't let us out of a contract I should never have done with them. We paid off the contract to get out of it and had to keep calling to get our our account cancelled. They kept telling me they couldn't cancel it in case I wanted the service back or someone else could take it over. Charged my account again and it took weeks to get my money back, then they e-mailed me that I was 2 months late on my monthly payments! What a joke this company is. I would never recommend them to any one.
We signed a 4 Year contract. What a mistake. We have had problems and issues with this company and it's system since it was first installed. They would NOT let us out of our contract. Have one more year to go. Can hardly wait till we're done.
Worst service for my business and home! The monitoring department called me after 3 minutes while a robbery was in progress at one of my business locations. By the time the cops were dispatched, my business had to suffer $10,000 in loses. I could never get in touch with a manager to express my disgust with this company. I am switching all my 9 locations to ADT. I do not TRUST Vivint with my life!

There concept and idea is good, but their support staff is horrific. They read from a script when you call in for assistance and ask the same questions as they pass you on to a technician that supposedly knows more than they do. My system had to be reinstalled more than once because their software was outdated due to my earlier installation date. The final straw for me was when my home was left unprotected for over 10 hours because it never connected to the monitoring company and I nor my alternate person was never contacted the entire day. This meant that my house could have been burglarized and I nor the police would have been none the wiser. Needless to say I cancelled my contract... Read More
After 6 years of service they will not give a 2 year contract without having to negotiate the second year. No flexibility whatsoever. I'm looking for an alternative service.
Vivint, where do I begin… DO NOT SIGN with this company!!! The sales rep, Joseph, was soliciting and aggressively pushy. He showed up to our house at 7 PM and told us that our bill would be the same as our previous company and that if we signed up with them today, that Vivint would pay for my cancellation of my previous security system contract. Of course, I signed on because who wouldn’t want new and advanced toys for the same price and because I signed up that day, he promised me $100 discount on the first months bill? Salesmen are summer employees who lie about what you're getting and then disappear back to college out of state. You won't get all of the devices you're promised and you have no recourse. Price looks good until you realize there's no way out of the contract when nothing works. You owe them money even when their products don't work, and the buy out is just as expensive as keeping the broken junk. Customer service line keeps you on seriously long waits and then hangs up on you. Don't expect any real help either, just , "yes" "uh hun" "sorry", but no solutions, no refunds, and no next level manager to speak with.
