I never recommend this Brinks .Very Rude customer service and had very bad experience with cancellation which we never face(they were threatening ) in United States so far.
I am extremely disappointed in how our cancelation must handled. I switched companies and titanium sent in a written request to cancel my I can't. It was not under a contract it was month to month and brings claimed they did not receive my notification and continued to charge me each month. I'm a widow on a fixed income and have been pain to companies for the same service for 4 months now. When I discovered this discrepancy I called Brinks and they denied receiving my written request to cancel service. I was told they will email me a cancelation notice and then it will take another 30 days. Shame on you for taking advantage of senior citizens.
This is a horrible company. You are better off doing it yourself and it will be cheaper. you can buy windows and door alarms for 15 bucks and there 8 in the package. the cameras always fail and when you call they try to charge a service fee of 75 dollars because the cameras are not part of the contract. trying to end the contract with them is like pulling teeth. to put a cherry on top of it, they will send you to collection and once you do end their service they shut off your cameras. The one they say is not part of the contract. This company is a joke.
I already moved to my new house and Called Brinks to cancel my alarm service on the old house. called talked to Crystal on 2/11/20 at 4:20pm she said that She will send out an the form for cancelled. Nothing happened, so I Called back talked Taylor on 2/12/20 at 12:33am and Taylor said the samething. No form sent, so I Called again 2/24/20 talked to Annashia at 9:22am and still no form as I type up this review. Each day gets delay, means that I have to pay $1.20 a day more.
THE "FREE EQUIPMENT" THEY GIVE YOU IS SO BAD IT BREAKS DAILY, MY EXPERIENCE IS VERY POOR AND WHEN YOU CALL TO COMPLAINT NOONE RETURNS THE CALLS. WHAT DO YOU NEED PROTECTION WHEN YOU ACTUALLY HAVE TO PROTECT YOURSELF FROM THEIR BAD BUSINESS PRACTICES. DO NOT PAY FOR THIS EQUIPMENT, BUY IT YOURSELF, THERE ARE SO MANY OTHER OPTIONS INSTEAD OF GETTING into A CONTRACT OF EQUIPMENT THAT WILL NOT PROTECT YOU.
I’m not satisfied at the present time. Brinks is the new name. My original company has changed names numerous times. The cameras are horrible compared to other companies. Can’t wait until my contract ends so I can search for better service.
Be careful with contract. Not good value. Greedy company. The system stopped monitoring our home, and they didn't even noticed but we had to keep paying. We complied but they didn't. Too much bureaucracy

Careful they trick you with 5 years contract , when you have to call for false alarm “they don’t answer the phone”
I don’t know where the reviews are coming, my contract is almost done , they trick me on the price too $56 x 60 months now they are offering me to stay and 1/2 price “ I told them even free” I won’t take care

BEWARE Not Military friendly! Brinks told us that military clause will cancel contracts when you sign up. This is one of those fine print things that they DON'T have in fine print anywhere in the agreement and they make rules up as they go. They only honor military orders that places service members where Brinks cannot provide service, which isn't in writing anywhere! When asking about deployment orders, they say its "possible", not a sure thing. This was the answer that I received after 20 days of constantly trying to get a response after sending them a copy of military PCS orders (many calls were "I'm sorry we're having technical difficulties, we'll call you back." If you think your home is secure with Brinks, think again. Our alarm system was acquired by Brinks a couple of years ago. We were recently on vacation out of the country and got a call that our alarm was tripped by a main level motion sensor. I called the company's number internationally and I was placed on hold for 40 minutes before anyone answered. After they answered, they could not tell us what happened after the alarm went off and whether or not the police department that was dispatched found anything wrong. I was with LiveWatch (LW) for 2 years before Brinks merged with them. I have always received great customer service. My Gen1 panel battery went bad, I called in to buy one but they sent me a new Gen2 Panel for free. I was going to cancel and go to Ring. The equipment don't even compare. The Panel is so cheaply made. I love ASPer. Don't get me wrong, Ring is a good system. My Gen2 (and Gen1 for that matter) has a camera, 2-way voice that Ring does not have. Now when I signed up with LW, there was not a contract. Now there is with Brinks. That is my only issue . I refuse to sign one. Even after they sent me the Gen2 panel, no contract. I have had Brinks service for about 2.5 years now and haven't really had any issues with them until today. I am active duty military and will be deploying soon followed by a few months in and out of home port. I own my house but due to my recent divorce and loss of custody of my children and because of my intense schedule, I will be renting it out my home and staying on the ship instead. My tenant already has equipment with Ring and refuses to pay the cost for Brinks on top of what they pay for their system. I called Brinks to find out what my military cancelation options were and was told I would have to fulfill the remaining 2.5 years of my contract regardless of my deployment... Read More
The worst customer experience I have EVER had! I was a Brinks customer (formerly LiveWatch) for over a year and was very excited when they launched their program to monitor Nest systems because the Nest smoke/carbon monoxide detectors are far superior. I made sure to thoroughly research everything before switching to the Nest system (which in itself was a terrible experience because no one at Brinks actually knew how to do that). This research included three separate calls to Brinks in which I was specifically told 3 times by 3 different people that Brinks monitors Nest smoke detectors. Account management services do not help you, only want to keep you paying
Horrible. Contract issues. They can't tell me how long of a contract I'm in after the switch from MONI. They can't tell me when my contract ends. They've said I'm in a 24 month contract then another rep said a 4 yr contract..what? They've changed all my online bills to reflect Brinks and all to reflect that I've lived in the same home address except I've not lived in the same home. The customer service reps do not provide any information. My bills keeps changing. AVOID THIS Company.
I would recommend Brinks Home security if you have ALL day to site on the phone, just to be transferred AGAIN to another person who still cannot help you. When you reach your account manager, he will tell you (because he is being nice) that he will lower your payment for the hassle you have experienced. When he reads you his SCRIPT, he quickly says, "you agree to extend your contract by 12 months". All because he's being nice. Poor customer service, terrible up selling and blocking you at every turn. I was originally a LiveWatch Customer, then Brinks bought them out. I live in Las Vegas and here, it is necessary to have a security company called out first prior to that security company contacting the police in the case of a possible burglary event. This is a requirement for Las Vegas. Well, this past Christmas, we had a false event at 3:00 am and we were not home and did not hear our phones. The 3rd party security company showed up 4 hours later. Today, I did a test on our SMOKE alarms and did not hear my phone since the system was going off. OMG! After hours on the phone with no resolution, I thought to check FB. I have the same story as so many others! I called Jan 4, 2019 to cancel Feb 5 because I’m moving to another state. Destiny tried to sell me service at my new home. I told her I was going to shop around, maybe I’d call them, but cancel effective Feb 5 (gave them 30 days notice). No problem, said Destiny, “We’ll prorate your Feb bill”. Yesterday my credit card was charged for the full month of Feb! I called and was transferred to Micah who said he’s the manager for Georgia. If I could give this company zero stars, I definitely would. Not only does my system not work, it has caused damage to my front door and even locked us out of the house. The problems started immediately, though it took us some time before we actually realized there was a problem. We had been using the system for months and experienced more and more trouble with the front lock jamming the door. This problem intensified until it actually locked us out of the house at midnight with a car full of groceries. Beware of this company! Unprofessional staff who loves to transfer you to another person because they do not wish to help you. They will not notify you when your monitors are no longer working and are off-line. Big hassle and Bad experience with this company. I don't recommend this company to anyone. We now have ADT a much reliable company.
This is the worse home secure company I ever have a have to deal with. I was with the Monitronix company for 5 years then they changed over Brinks . I move And try to close the account When I try to close the account they only talk to me about staying with the company. I Received a call about a due
That's when they told me I needed to submit this in writing. 2 bills after the close in date. Stop screwing your customer maybe you can keep some
For amy body looking for home security do not use this company its a night mare dealing with them they installed my equipment wrong and the customer service is rude and hostile the company refuses to go bacl and fix there mistake that were made during installation dont use this company
Have had nothing hell with them wanted to charge 500$ for moving. Finally got that cleared up after 4 days and 6+ hrs on the phone. Now it has ben 2 months with out service and they are still charging me!! Saying it will be 3-4 more months before they install. Absolute battle every time. At this point I could care less about the alarm I just them out!!! Expect very long hold times!!
This is the worst company ever! How can they have an A+ rating with 13 positive reviews ( which I can't find) and 90 bad reviews? I totally agree with all the bad comments. My house was broken into, and due to their faulty equipment the alarm didn't go off until the thief left, several hours later. I was out of town and my neighbor called the police. Moni didn't call the police at all, but lied about it! They "dispatched" their own "guard", who never showed up. In fact, he called me and told me to google the phone number for the police! Horrible customer service rep who couldn't even tell me what services they offered and what type of equipment they used. It was a painfully long phone call only for her to finally tell me I would have to call back and ask for a security specialist for further questions? No thank you!
