You can also opt for environmental protection, such as carbon monoxide, flood, temperature change and smoke sensors, as well as a panic button and an emergency alert button. New for 2022, ADT security systems feature the Google Nest doorbell. The highly-rated device features HD video and two-way audio. How much does ADT Home Security cost?

ADT offers five security system service plans to choose from: Basic ($28.99/month), Secure (45.99/month), Smart (49.99/month), Video ($56.99/month), and Complete ($59.99/month). Plans require a 36-month minimum contract. Additionally, in the event of early contract termination, ADT may require the client to pay 75% of the monthly charges due for the balance of the first 36-months. The company does offer a 6-month money-back guarantee and a limited warranty for their products (restrictions apply), but overall, ADT seeks a long-term commitment from the customer.

To help protect customers against the cost of unexpected service calls, ADT offers extended limited warranty protection, called their Quality Service Plan, or QSP. While ADT's electronic technology is designed to meet the highest standards, no manufactured equipment is 100% perfect. QSP adds additional coverage some customers might prefer.

ADT has invested in upgrading to the latest wireless technology to help protect your home and keep the installation process as streamlined as possible. Like many newer systems, ADT wireless security systems rely on radio waves to connect your home’s cameras and sensors to the control panel.

In addition, ADT operates six monitoring centers. In the event that your assigned monitoring center goes offline, a security breach or call for help from your home will be automatically rerouted to the next available center.

The ADT Essentials plan for basic digital monitoring service has a limited warranty on parts and labor, something that other competitors do not offer. If you want additional protection, the Essentials Plus package includes 2-way voice monitoring. Like all plans, this one includes monitoring for police, fire, and medical emergencies. However, both plans require customers to have access to their own landline phone.

Customers who do not have landlines can opt for the ADT Secure plan. This plan includes monitoring for police, fire, and medical emergencies and add the peace of mind that comes from knowing that an intruder cannot cut your home’s landline. There is an ADT protection plan for all budgets and needs.

ADT Home Security systems are very user-friendly, and during installation, the technician will show you how to use the equipment. There is technical support available to answer any questions customers have about the equipment. ADT offers professional installation, several monthly plans with competitive rates, and allows users to choose between wireless and hardwired systems. Keep in mind, though, that customers must sign a three-year agreement for all ADT security monitoring plans.

How ADT is number 1 I have no clue!? Please do not waste your time the customer service is terrible and the fees are u ethical they also have 3rd parties they use and the third party companies do charge insane prices of you move or need to make a payment arrangement

My husband had a brain tumor and two surgeries. I suspected in his great confusion, he had disconnected the ADT cord. I called Tech support and even with pictures, she couldnt help me. Instead she told me to go up to the atic and also on a ladder in the closet to disconnect the ether net cord.(I am 65) Neither worked, She told me I would need a technician to come out without mentioning how expensive it woould be. I agreed to have him come. He PICKED THE PLUG UP OFF THE FLOOR AND PLUGGED IT IN AND CHARGED ME 125.00! that is pretty sad especially under my present circumstances with dr bills and a vey ill husband, I know there are probably no exceptions but I think human compassion and... When ADT made their sales pitch to us, we were assured that our current SkyBell doorbell camera would be compatible. We agreed to sign up because the company we had at the time was not reliable in providing us continuous service, which we are definitely required to have. Then I learned that just weeks before I called to see why the camera did not work, I was told that policy had changed, and I would have to use an ADT camera that was very expensive. We have 3 cameras and today a delivery driver crashed into our garage door, damaged our car and in total did well over $3000.00 in damage. The cameras captured nothing, only a parked delivery van after the accident. ADT says the system was rebooting or capturing the moment before the accident. This is cheap low budget system that needs lots of programing to operate properly....It has way to-many programing options...and it's very confusing....The staff at ADT is excellent but the equipment needs to be simplified....The cameras miss a lot if they're not programed properly...and not every installer understands this....

I am having to move my business out of my current location due to the virus. I do not have a new location for this business, so it will most likely permanently close. They are saying I have to pay $1914 to finish out my contract. I do not have that to pay from a permanently closed business. They said I could relocate to a new place to avoid that fee. I said I might find a new temporary place for the business where I could relocate it eventually, but I have no idea where or when. They said to relocate to that new temporary place, I have to sign a NEW three year contract. I just had a horrible experience with the ADT home installation technician. I was told that they would come out to do a home assessment and I could choose to install that day or not and I would be refunded my $99 installation fee. Sounds simple, right? After their assessment, they quoted me $10,000 for equipment and $59.99/mo for their monitoring service (Whoa!). Sound like something you would want a moment to consider, right? We had the ADT system installed by SafeStreets- after 2 days, we decided to cancel as we did not like the 3-year contract. After canceling, I heard nothing for weeks- I reached out again and they had given me the wrong email address to send my cancellation letter to. They said they would honor my cancellation within the 3 day period because it was their fault that they had told me the wrong email. After the system was taken from my home, I called again to see when I would get my refund ($397.74)- the woman on the phone told me that I would have to pay thousands of dollars because I had canceled my contract. Never been lied to like this. Horrible Customer Service. My panic alarm has went off twice with ADT and cost me both times. First time I was on vacation and told ADT if anything happens call this number and not the police. Nope they call the police for a false panic alarm went off. I had to pay for it with not financial support from ADT. I was still under contract so I let it go. It happened again 2 years later. I called ADT on 7/7/2019 to cancel services due to panic false alarm fee from City of Houston. Whatever you do, avoid this company like the plague. I have used them for ten years, and even signed up my elderly parents for a system as well. They constantly increase their fees and do little to notify you of the changes. Every time they raised their fees, I would call them and attempt to cancel. Each time, they reduced my fee to the original agreed upon price of $25/mo. Even though I found the service wanting, I felt there was enough value to keep it at that rate. However, they had continually increased my parents' bill. I was made aware of this when they cancelled the credit card that was being auto billed for the service. Had ADT home security installed June 2019. Installers were professional, but tried to provide items beyond the agreed sale. Sales offered a free camera but failed to tell us about the expensive monthly service fee. Monthly bill was supposed to be about $45 but has been about $55. Have had to call in every month for an adjustment. ADT representatives have been condescending and rude. Will never have ADT in another home.
