I was calling in to get pricing information. I was told I had to give my name address and phone number to get pricing. Then was asked my date of birth to verify that I was 18 years old. Next I was told that a dealer would have to come out to my house to give pricing information and that they where going to do a credit pull to make sure I could get the equipment. I was mad that I was deceived and tricked into giving information to pull my credit. I was not told before hand that I would not be helped by the agent that they would pull my credit and someone would need to come to my house to tell me how much the price of window sensor.

Poor communication. Management in Hephzibah, Ga doesn’t care about issues. They canceled on me hours before my appointment. They wanted me to take another appointment next week. They had already got my money the week before. Stay away from this company

When you buy a home with an ADT system, be careful. They don't honor previous owner contracts and leave you stuck with a non-working system. I purchased a home with cameras and a "pulse" system. Part of the closing documents was a document that says that I will take over the existing system. Now ADT says that this is a contract obligating me to pay for a non-functioning system. Even when you call them and they admit that what's going on makes no sense, they hang up on you. I did write them letters, but ADT insists that you call them.

I've had ADT for 1 1/2 years, when my property tax doubled due to new construction in the area, which made my mortgage go up to cover this. I decided to cut out unessential items; cable tv and ADT were the only non essential items I could live without. When I called ADT and told them of my financial difficulties I was told that I couldn't cancel. I asked what I was suppose to not pay, just to pay them. They got me so mad I said that the month I just paid for was the last month I was paying for and I considered the service cancelled. We have had ADT for many years we move 3 years ago and reported to them that we were moving. They have double milled is for those 3 years and will not address the issue after multiple phone calls

I was a customer of ADT for 15 years. I decided to cancel my service because it had become so expensive. Upon cancellation I was informed that I needed to provide 30-days advance notice, so my charges were extended 30 days beyond when I wanted the service to stop. I pleaded with multiple people for this to be waived but they wouldn't do it.

I'm amazed at how many positive reviews I read of ADT considering my experience with them. They lied to me several times, would no answer my phone calls when initial system was not working. When they first came out to quote my system, they said they could not use my existing system (DSC hard wired) and wanted a very high install price. I said no and they halved the price by taking out a couple items. We went through that iteration a couple more times, then he "called his boss" and determined they could use my existing sensors but not the system. ADT installed a new wireless security system in our home which doesn't work. When we had the technician come to our home to troubleshoot the system we were told the wireless security system won't work in our home because the walls in the home block the signal and the keypads can't communicate. What home doesn't have walls. Our home isn't even large (about 2,500 square feet). They kept telling us they would send a signal booster but they never did. Had a second technician over at the house and he told us the same thing. ADT is a ripoff, selling homeowners bogus home security hardware that doesn't work. they will lie right to your face i,am a senior almost 80 years old was told by there salesman that i had 30 days to cancle tryed was told that i could do that for 3 days got ripped off big time

This is so bad, I already filed a complaint with the BBB and NJ Attorney General. What a nightmare! I originally called ADT the week of June 22, 2020 to inquire about their alarm services. I was told that all equipment would be free, and I would just have to pay an installation fee upfront, and a monthly service fee. This sounded like a good deal, so I decided to go with it. On June 26th, the ADT technician that came to my home to install our equipment said that it is a 3 year contract, but there is a 6-month money back guarantee, and that we would be able to cancel for any reason if we were not happy with the service.
