DO NOT GET ADT! NO MATTER WHAT YOU ARE OFFERED OR WHAT THEY SAY TO MAKE IT SEEM LIKE A GOOD DEAL!!!! JUST SAY NO TO ADT!
Seriously they have an extremely predatory business model and shoddy equipment and services (at best). On top of this, their contracts are impossible to get out of, even if you have issues, unless you are willing to pay 75% of the rest of the contract amount or get your account sent to collections. There are so many better options. DO NOT GET ADT!

I would NOT recommend using the ADT service. Based on my personal experience, their customer service is not satisfactory. They have outsourced their billing department to other countries, resulting in fragmented customer service and difficulties in communication due to strong accents and poor connection quality. I suggest considering local alternatives or installing the system yourself. Dealing with a large company like ADT IS VERY frustrating, especially when it comes to billing inquiries as there is a lack of assistance available.

ADT is the worst. Nothing but problems and ADT does not care about fixing system problems. NEVER do busiess with them.

So, I had a professional 2500.00 system installed by ADT. What I didn't realize is that when my cameras went down that it would cost me a service fee to have them re-setup. On top of this, after almost a year my job is moving me to a location where I have to leave my ADT service and system that I bought. ADT has me locked into a 36 month contract and will not honor the fact that my move is work based. They are wanting to charge me a smooth 1700+ for the remaining 75% of a contract I will never use. Please guys. Do not be scammed by this company.

i have been with ADT for over 23 years. and our backyard camera hasnt been working correctly, after numerous attempts to fix it, still goes off line quite frequently, when i called in the reps are less than friendly . refuse to give me an updated camera. then the mgr tried to do a bait and switch with me, i called his bluff,.
BE VERY CAREFUL, this used to be a good company its gone down hill. i am switching . and the reps dont care.

DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY!
It is an act of Congress to get your account cancelled.
They will transfer you multiple times for over 2 hours to try to prevent it.
I have been with them for over 6 years and I am not in a Contract. It should have been a simple cancellation but NO now I am being charged for an additional 30 days.

The worse online and phone support ever... I have 4 business accounts.... The billing is so messed up. I can never get ahold of a rep to get invoices that match charges. If this was not a corp must have. i'd cancel and go with a local company. The sales rep is no help... He washed his hands of our account once he got paid.... No support on trying to figure the biling out,,, Website will not let me add all account to it so see invoices. been on hold now for 22 minutes

This past month I've been in contact with ADT more times that I wish, and to summarize the outcome there is a lack of consistancy in their customer offerings, customer service, follow-through, and in the end the customer is left with the burden of following up with ADT to obtain the outcome expected. Issues included: incorrect and conflicting information regarding; product/service offering and pricing, very long wait times, multiple department transfers - sometimes unannounced and also disconnected, conflicting payment for product, failure to follow-up on stated actions by Loyalty Desk, and difficulty for the installer in processing the ordered product for a questioned... I currently have ADT and have been a customer for 2 years. I will feel safer having the system and I'm happy to pay for that feeling of security. However... I do have a major complaint with the camera's that were set up. First and foremost I was talked out of where I wanted them and I caved to the suggestion of the rep that came out. There is a MAJOR blind spot in the drive that would not be there if I had stuck to my guns. And now I realize that the outdoor screws that were installed by the company are not outdoor screws and have begun to rust leaving stains on my siding.
