Nationwide General Insurance refuses to accept the police report and pay damages for my car repairs.
Nationwide refused to pay damages when their client rear ended me. He wasn’t paying attention to traffic slowing down and was too close. They refuse to accept the police report.
I used a branch in knoxville tn and the lady there was not helpful, but I still got the insurance because of the company it was, when I was going to leave the company the broker called me and stated for me to give them another try, I did and he gave me another agent wish she was good but towards me finally leaving she was either on the phone or on a conference call. The customer service was okay. The auto pay was never the same amount which could leave you to problems in your bank account if you do not have the funds to cover. Take your time and do your homework on these insurance companies they all want your business but once they have you all you are is money to them. I was not happy... Read More
We have Nationwide for all our insurance house, car etc. But not for long. We spend over $2000.00 a year for protection. Not worth it. Windshield got cracked on Mercedes roadster tried repair didn't work. To replace they will only give aftermarket. terrible. my deductible was $500.00 found out it only cost for aftermarket. $330.80 went to Mercedes and paid myself. OEM windshield cost me$1400.00 isn't that FRAUD!!!!
Someone needs to report this company to the BBB because they are completely scammers. they sell insurance plan the regardless of who is at fault they can not pay ether bill. So dangerous if you get hit by one of there costumers they will pay nothing its almost like they are allowing drivers to drive with out insurance.
No phone calls returned, (5 calls) Very negative and belligerent Agent and secretary. (Woman actually hung-up on me after I told her I was dropping insurance policy. ) Was with NW for almost sixty years. Went with USAA for better pricing. Cleared ALL premiums , never delinquent, closed our account...then two months later I received a notice from a Collection Co. that I owed $92.70 . From here it went down-hill. Spoke to three NW representatives who promised they would follow up and get back to me within three days. That was two weeks ago....Nothing !
Going to call their corporate offices again today. Hoping to settle this matter once and for-all !
Terrible company to go with... they were charging wayyyyy too much for my son that is a nest driver. Left this company and went with another and saved myself 80 a month. Read the reviews and notice there are so many unhappy ppl that have also done the same. But the BBB give them an A+ rating!! Seriously, smh. So disappointed
I would give Nationwide a 0 if I could. My car got rearended on the freeway by a person with Nationwide insurance. I had to take it to one of their preferred auto body shops because Nationwide would not even speak to other auto body shops that I chose. My car has been to their preferred one now five times, they cannot get it correct, not only can they not fix my car correct. the auto body shop put their greasy dirty hands all over the interior of my car. I have a light silver headliner which now has black hand prints all over it. I have spent numerous hours on the phone with Nationwide and Legacy Collision Center, they are all very rude and make you feel like this accident was your... Read More
I was enticed to go with Nationwide car insurance because they have competitive rates and has a smartride program. They gave me a 10% discount right off the bat just for participating in the program. I was hoping that with good driving habits for the duration of the program which is about 6 months will lower my premium on my next renewal. I ended the smartride program with 35% discount because of my good driving record while participating in the program. You would think that I would have a lower premium right? Nope, this was not the case. My premium even went up on my renewal. I asked customer service about it and they told me that the reason it went up is because the rates in my area went... Read More
