Sears repairs are a bunch of crooks. Dont fall for their self-serving, self eritten reviews they ask you for when they come. I have a leakeage in my front load washer that is dripping water into my neiborgh's appartment. I called Sears and they came. Their diagnose was a faulty rubber seal that closes the door so water doe snot come out. The technician ( very kind) had a replacement part in his truck. He changed it, charged and took the opportunity to see us some appliance insurance warranty. The leakeage started again in three days. Obviously, the part was faulty, old, not the right size or was not well placed. WE called again and they came and diagnose-again-that it was that part. Again.... Read More
Maybe Sears would be a good company not hiring incompetent contractors like a&e Factory Service...and then when there's trouble with that said company they leave you hanging completely. One tries to blame the other...yea no Sears is no leading company in my eyes...wish I could give zero stars!!!
I have not had a refrigerator that works since April 2021. Even with multiple repairman coming on a weekly basis, no one can fix it. First the freezer stopped cooling, then no ice, then the refrigerator stopped cooling. On 8/6/21 it was rendered “unrepairable” and that I would get a new one free of charge with delivery, set up and removal. It is now 9/17/21 and I have no refrigerator and each week, when I call, polite foreign people tell me the exact same thing: “I understand your frustration. If you don't mind waiting most of the day for no one to show up and a service agent to finally let you know at 2:30 p.m. via email your appointment has been canceled, go ahead and make an appointment. Sears requires 24-hour notification for cancellation of service appointments, however, they have no respect for your own time and will not give you the same courtesy. When I phoned Sears the voice my complaint they said they tried to call me but I hung up. I had answered a call around noon from an unidentified number, but there was no one on the line, probably a dropped cell call. We have an expensive Sears Protection Agreement on all our appliances and the service is terrible. We have had a broken refrigerator since this spring. The technicians do not seem to be able to fix it. A bigger problem is how unreliable their appointment system is. In July we stayed home for an entire day and the technician never showed and never called to cancel the appointment. Today we have an appointment and received a notice that the technician showed up and we weren’t home. We ARE home. There was no call, no knock and no doorbell. This protection agreement is very expensive and very unreliable. I would strongly warn others away from it.
Customer service is terrible. I would NOT recommend this company. In fact I cancelled my service today. Early this year, our dryer was making noises, after 3 weeks of being transferred from one service company to another and 3 phone phone call to their service we final got someone to come look at the dryer. Aug. 10th, I put in a service request for my washer machine, once again it was assigned to a service company 80 miles away. More delays. August 13th, service company assessed the problem. I had an appointment with A&E for Sept 1St. They Contracted Sears who tried to reschedule for Sept 29th. Outsourced my job. Appointment was set up by LG Corp on the Refridgerator Aug 8th. Over 23 days ago. They tell no one available to come. It was when the appliance was scheduled for repair. The outsource Sears wanted to schedule for Sept 16 or Sept 29. That make two months Refridgerator out of commission. I expected company to show up and have the compressor in hand The board and filter and have repair done quickly after I waited 23 days for my repair.
Our 3 year old Kenmore Pro refrigerator stopped cooling. We had to wait 34 days for service. Turns out the compressor needed replacement. $475 later for labor only (the compressor was covered by warranty) it was repaired. Or so we thought. Now 1 day later the refrigerator has stopped cooling again. It’s cooling to 55 degrees and I’m back to living out of an ice chest. Feels like camping again. Bottom line. Don’t buy anything from Sears or even try to get service. I opened a dispute with my bank for the charges and had to now go and purchase a new refrigerator. Not happy.
Never again would I use sears appliance repair. I would never buy a lg washer from them either. Our washer had out of balance issues for about 3 .5 years. The technition just threw parts at it rather than fixing it . We never ever got it fixed and as of today it still will nor wring out clothes. My wife tried to just get by with it. When I confronted him about it he became very obnoxious beat on the washer with his fists and for got what the truth is. Service company is the worst I have ever dealt with. No wonder they have got less and less business
Never again Sears or LG!! My Kenmore Elite (made by LG) 4 1/2 year old refrigerator suddenly stopped working. Both the refrigerator and freezer are not getting cold. General consensus is that the compressor is bad (hope not), but if it is the compressor the part is covered under warranty. Called Sears today, 8/23/21 to schedule a repair. September 24th is the earliest available appointment. I don't know about you guys, but I can not go without a refrigerator for a month. Nothing they could do but put me on some "list" to move me up if something opens up.
