Not sure 1 star is good enough. Called Sears for Kenmore Elite Refrigerator Ice Maker and Water Dispenser not working. Sears sent first technician out, he said that he could not do even diagnose because the Model # was not legible. I later found out that in his notes he said the refrigerator was inaccessible. 3-4 days later Sears sent out another Tech from Arcnet Appliance Repair. The tech requested I turn off the water supply and back on, he examined the Ice Maker and Water Dispenser not functional and confirmed that in my presence. I later found out in his report, he said that the refrigerator gasket was damaged. Sears denied my claim because they do not cover damaged refrigerator... Read More

We had two oven repair men come and they were both knowledgeable and took the time to thoroughly test the ovens. The third guy who came today to finish the job came in with an attitude- rolled his eyes when we described the problem, replaced the part and then was leaving when I stopped him and asked him to test the temperatures in both ovens since he had replaced the control board for both ovens. Eye roll again. He did a sorta temperature test. When the oven said 350 he didn’t plan to checkout the accuracy which was the original problem. He packed up his tools and I was happy to see him and his attitude leave. I expect to have to call for another repair when I try to use it. Fortunately... Read More

Unfortunately my usual appliance repair man who services my home was not available to help out in this situation and so I went on line and found Sears Appliance Service, making arrangements for a serviceman to come the next day. I provided them with the model # of my Frigidaire range and explained the problem -- that it needed an oven ignitor. The next day the serviceman showed up in a Sears van on schedule. He determined what I already knew -- that the ignitor was bad and I needed a new one. No problem up to this point. But now he says he has to go out to his van to see if he has an ignitor with him. After about 10 minutes he returns to tell me he does not have the part, nor does he... Read More

I have a Samsung "Silent" washing machine that ran well and had the rubber seal on the door wear out. We called to have it replaced and was given a day that they would arrive. They did not show up. Then the next appointment, they did not have the part. When they finally did show, the repair technician said they had not worked on this type of machine before. They ultimately charged my wife nearly $500 to replace a seal on the door which seemed outlandish, but she paid. When the tech left, not only did the door not close properly, but for some reason we now had the drum banging loudly against the metal of the washer. We tried to have a tech come back out, but they did not follow... Read More

I have a 4 year-old Maytag washing machine bought from Sears with a $200 extended warranty. The computer board is not working. After nearly having a stroke after talking to various barely speaking English people and repeatedly being told as of last year my machine was out of warranty, I handed the phone over to my husband to deal with. I'll hand wash clothing in my bathtub before I ever deal with these people again. Hey, no minus ratings available?

HORRIBLE experience with SEARS HOME SERVICES Paid $177.95 for nothing. This was the cost for the diagnostic. I had a problem in my refrigerator freezer. The tech came to my home for 5 minutes and did the diagnostic test: Parts (Switch) $83, Labor $405.95, Total after taxes and all things $494.93. We have to change a switch, that's all. When I asked the tech why the labor is so high, he told me that it is the Sears list of prices. Can you believe 500 dollars to change a switch? They would be ashamed to charge $83 for a part that it is even cheaper at Amazon and 406 DOLLARS IN LABOR. I will never use Sears Home Services again, they just charge me for doing nothing.

Had sears out to repair my refrigerator and it started doing the same thing several days later. Took 10 days to get another repairman out. He said he had to order new parts and it would take 2 weeks. I said that I could not go another 2 weeks (already had gone 2 weeks and thrown out good food twice) without a refrigerator. I requested my money back ($650) and he agreed. My refund was denied after I went and bought a new refrigerator. They said I had a 90-day warranty and they didn't care that I had to wait another 2 weeks without a refrigerator. Bottom line is the customer service stinks and they don't like to return your money even though it was their screwup. Also, try to talk to... Read More

I am a long time (16+ years) customer of the Sears Master Protection Agreement. While I've had good customer support historically, recently the red tape and circus act, has infuriated me to the point of cancelling my agreement and moving to a more responsive and respectable company. I understand product and part delays due to COVID and I'll flex with the best of us, but I am now officially in a 4-month endless cycle of pass-offs and delays regarding a washer that was deemed unrepairable, and approved for product replacement. I settled on an IN-STOCK washer and set a delivery date (rather lengthy 3 weeks) with the Product Replacement Department. Two days prior to delivery, I receive a call... Read More

After accepting the $ for the Sears Appliance Warranty from us, Sears (AKA Cinch of Boca Raton FL), AND many visits to fix our Kenmore refrigerator (a Sears Product), Sears decided it couldn't/wouldn't fix the refrigerator (3 months without a functioning refrigerator!) probably because it needed a new compressor. Cinch/Sears simply told us that they would not service the refrigerator (their own product) because it was a premium product. The Service contract stated that "repair or replace" is the guarantee. Cinch/Sears simply, without our agreement, decided to write us a $1,000 check, and assumed we would go away. But, a $1,000 check does not repair or replace our unit. FRAUDS. And,... Read More

Don't work with this company. They were supposed to replace a part on my refrigerator. They had the part shipped to my home but the box was very damaged on arrival and the part was damaged as well as a result. Interestingly instead of sending it directly from LG, they had it shipped to their warehouse and from there to my home. So no wonder it was damanged on arrival. From there on it was a nightmare to get Sears Home Services to reorder the part and pickup the damaged part. They even sent two technicians to my home to install the damaged part and before the replacement was delivered. Proving how incapable they are at scheduling and organizing. I had to call UPS in the end myself to get... Read More
