SunRun is a US-based solar electricity provider that maintains, monitors and installs solar energy systems. The company lets their clients to take control on electricity bill and lock-in a long term savings with SunRun.

Stay away. the whole thing is a scam if you think you are saving money you are mistaken you will be paying twice as much to them and electricity provider . from sale gimmick to customer service all is a joke,

AVOID AVOID AVOID My nine-year old system failed in mid-September 2023. Sunrun says: "If something happens, or your system performance dips, we are alerted and contact you ASAP to get it fixed." THEY DID NOT. I discovered it at the end of the month and called THEM. It is now November and NOTHING HAS BEEN DONE. I HAVE CHATTED FOUR TIMES AND CALLED TWICE. AVOID AVOID AVOID. Also, shame on you, Costco.

Stay away. After 13 months of panel installation, my combined Sunrun lease and payment to my electricity provider is higher than before. I called Sunrun to ask for help and was told they could do nothing. I asked for a technician to come and assess the situation, which would cost me $199. I asked for more panels, and they said no, it can't be done. They said I would generate enough energy for 90% of my needs when I met them. I am at 76%.

The partnership of SunRun and Costco is surprising. As a Costco member, we expected SunRun to follow in the same type of quality service and honesty as Costco. We paid a pretty price to discover how wrong we were. Too many half-truths to list that amounted to deception and dishonesty. It amazes us that Costco would continue to partner with SunRun in light of their false claims about kW coverage, costs, products, net metering, and good customer service. Though a case manager has been assigned to our issue, we have yet to come to a resolution. Solar is a good idea, but going at it with SunRun is not. Consider looking for other options....we wish we had.

WOST Company and NOT RECOMMENDED for SOLAR panels. They started this project on Feb 2023 and still didn't get permission from city. Meanwhile sunrun installed solar panels. I talked to city and city saying sunrun is not responding their queries. so i asked sunrun to terminate my project because of excess delay but they are saying i am liable for the installation. sunrun installed solar panels without getting approvals from city and cheating customers and still they are net able to get permits. so this is not worth for single star also. DO NOT go with SUNRUN.

BUYER BEWARE! Please, if anyone from Sunrun approaches you, your door, from Costco or wherever DO NOT use this company. Read all the most recent reviews. I think they average a 1 dating back to June. What do you do when you see a restaurant rated a 1? Enough said. I signed on with them back in March. They still have not even started the work. Their excuse, PG&E. Of course.. how easy.. blame it on the other business. There is way more to this, but it starts with service and they lack this in every way. Do Not Go With SunRun Solar, These guys are a Shoot Show of all companies. The Saleperson was fine but the installation was a nightmare that hasn't ended. I have two homes on one lot and I wanted solar on both homes. The main home was to have 12 panels and the smaller house 8 panels. They reversed the project and gave the main house 8 panel and 12 to the smaller house. So main house will have a huge pg&e bill at the end and the smaller house will over produce in energy. They keep sending text that I owe them $6000.00 dollars before I even started producing, when I call nobody knows what is going on. The salesman was a good liar. We are older, 60 and 70, and only wanted to save money on our electricity. Not looking to invest in our property, just lower the bills. "How long after install will it be producing power?" We were told, 'Well, your getting in early in the year which is good. 4-6 weeks, no guarantee.' Alrighty! Cut our bill almost in half in less than 2 months, no cash out of pocket....dammit we just should have known better. Just learned average time of install to turn on in my area, ready folks, 4-8 MONTHS! I'm only beginning this story! Longtime Costco Member! Purchased solar in 2019 thru Costco’s company, Sunrun. First rainstorm after install, garage flooded. Sunrun came to repair leak couple weeks later. Late 2022 with heavy rains, experienced another leak in bedroom directly under solar install. Sunrun sent team, was told leak was repaired. Sadly with next large rainstorm, leak began again except worse pouring onto hardwood floor and causing damage. We had leak inspected by private company. Damages more extensive than initially told by Sunrun. Now dealing with mold. Inspection reports/photos/images of damage all provided to Sunrun. When it comes to servicing their systems look somewhere else. Sunrun is very slow to respond to problems. My system has been down for over a month and after a failed attempt at fixing it, Sunrun is requesting that I wait another two weeks before they send a crew to look at it again. Horrible service!
