If you are looking for RV insurance, beware of good Sam. Don’t be deceived, this is not necessarily an RV owner friendly company.. they have shareholders and the mighty dollar is their primary concern. Not so sure? Try and get an RV only quote. Ain’t happening. RV’s are just the bait, they demand that you submit info on your auto and a quote for the RV isn’t even shown. Sorry Sam, won’t be doing business with you.

All this company cares about is getting you money, you are better off saving your premiums and paying for repairs yourself. They will do everything they can to deny your claim, including lie to you. Even after unsubscribing from their email system and reporting them as spam, they find ways around the email filters and continue to flood my inbox with spam. This is a very unscrupulous company, BUYER BEWARE!

I have had this Insurance sense 2012 this summer July to be exact a hail storm beat my 5th wheel trailer up. This is now October 16 and I still have not had a settlement. you cannot reach any one at the claims department by phone or Email both are never responded to! at this point I still do not know what the hold up is They had a salvage company pick up my trailer on 10/12 so I don't even have that to fall back on hope this gets some sort of response But I doubt it

Before you purchase road assistance check to see the network coverage. I called to get flat tire changed and was to it would take almost THREE hours because there was no one close by that would come out. They only send companies in network. There was a wrecker service one mile away but not in network. NOT VERY HAPPY WITH NETWORK COVERAGE! Cindy

wind blew electric awning from trailer which hit on top and put hole in corner - national general assurance replaced awning but would not fix siding which rippled due to water damage. this has now reduced the trade in value even though the whole thing was covered from wind damage - i also had total replacement coverage - this occured at chenango forks, new york

At the end of the 2nd yr with my insurance company this past spring I decided to check out Good Sam insurance rates. As many of you know, they send plenty of invitations to anyone with any dealings with Camping World, etc. They also promised a 15-piece tool kit just for requesting a rate comparison. It so happened they could not beat my current rates. I did that in April 2018. They didn't send the tool kit and I have called numerous times (it turned into the principle of the matter!). I spoke to Alex Waterman, Andre, Brittany, Mike, Keedra, Kyle ("supv"), Mike (different one, he assured me), Rich, Shonell ("Mgr" in tool kit area), and lastly to Ginger ("Sr Rep"). Between them I heard... Read More

We had wind damage when we were traveling through Palm Springs,CA. Wind was 43 mph and it peeled back some of our roof and opened up a hole in the front corner of our RV. They denied the claim based on the seals being worn out our RV is only 2 years old.. There claim was that seals need to be serviced every 3 months. The service manager where we bought the RV told me that they have this kind of trouble with national general all the time, without exception. I should have talked to him BEFORE I bought good Sam insurance. To court we go!

I went to Camping world a "Good Sam" company for maintenance on my trailer. The maintenance was never done as the service tech said i needed new backing plates at a cost of another $800. I said no problem I have the extended warranty. He told me it wasn't covered even though it was. I refused the service because it didn't sound right and went to another garage and had the trailer looked at. Backing plated were not needed but new bearings were. I submitted the bill to the Good Sam insurance and my claim was denied on the basis that it was 3 months beyond the one year recommended maintenance of the trailer. I'll be cancelling my coverage. Buyer beware!

We recently experienced filing a claim and not happy. We discovered our RV roof had a small hole which may have been caused by a tree branch. It caused water damage in that area underneath. Claim was approved to fix the hole but declined the water damage roof repair. It was a patch job, leaving the damage covered up. this is an example of how much they care about your RV. We suggested to help with half the cost for a roof repair and still declined. A patch job is their exceptional service. I think not.
