I was busy with work, and they were busy making sure my paperwork was almost go to go. Be prepared for asinine questions for the underwriter. If you can purchase your home before your first LES after PCSing it might save you hours of trying to explain the most basic concepts of an LES to people that never got one. Also, having to go through ten people to get to your loan officer is worse than checking into a hospital to talk with your doctor. My guess is there is probably just as much wasted bureaucracy that sucks up money, but Rome wasn’t destroyed in a day. Overall, the people at VU made the extremely painful process bearable. I had typed more but it seems to have disappeared.
For home loans, purchasing a new home, you cant beat Veterans United!
VU Home Loan works with you from the beginning to the end! I appreciated the accessibility I had with my loan officer (questions, concerns, etc.). I felt like a valued customer... not just a quota figurehead.
For buying a home for the first time at a young age, Veterans United made it extremely easy for what seemed like a scary process at first. My loan officer was very knowledgeable and kind and would always follow up with any questions or issues I had. If you are a Veteran, this really is the best group to go through with your VA loan
