I just canceled my service for this year. Last years service was bordering on terrible. Totally missed areas of service and getting fertilizer on all paved areas. When I called them about it, I was told I would receive a call from Scott, which I never received. This happened numerous times.
weed man is a scam. We have used them for more than a year and our lawn has never looked worse. Except for the weeds. The weeds are thriving. We have weeds growing that I've never seen before in our yard... Last application the technician asked if I had any concerns. I pointed at the lawn and said 'why is my lawn dead.' . He told me to water it... WATER IT! I've been a home owner for 30+ years now. I know how to water. My lawn was a good lawn before Weed Man. I was hoping to make it better. Now, it's barely a lawn. Do not trust this service. I would have bought a bag of Dylox and spread it myself if I hadn't had recent shoulder surgery and I repeatedly told that to the salesperson, Melinda, when I called. My yard was being dug up by an animal because of grubs and I needed an immediate solution. She told me the technician would check for grubs and sure enough he found one to show me. I asked both of them if there was anything I needed to do after the chemical was applied and the answer was no. My arm is in a sling so I prepaid for the service to get a 7% discount. This year my wife and I decided to switch from TruGreen (where we were long standing customers - in multiple houses) to Weedman Lawn Care based on a referral that saved us over $100 for the year. This would turn out to be one of the worst decisions we have made! Weedman only was able to come 2 times before my lawn died out due to over fertilizing. The test results came back and nitrogen levels were more than 3 times too high, and keep in mind that these samples were taken more than 6 weeks later so most of the nitrogen would have leeched out - and it’s still that high! Weedman serviced my lawn for approximately a year and never were able to control the weeds. Their service was poor and I had to change lawn service to get the problem fixed.
I recieved my first treatmeant about 2 weeks ago , I was pleased with the service, some of my weeds were gone and grass thicker. I did request a retreat due to still having weeds. They were to come out on 08/01/23, no one ever came. I noticed the next morning there was a "you were serviced" flag on my lawn. I checked my cameras and 5:50pm the flag was placed and the man left. I called the company and said I was supposed to be serviced and wasnt. She said it looks like they were out there yesterday morning (im assuming her thinking no one was home). I had to recently stop my . contract with Weedman because I became Unemployed . When I asked them if they would come out and do respray because I am still Having problems with weeds. They told me if I would renew my contract they would be happy to do a respray. Caution not a very good way of doing business with your customers. I will never use them again and I surely wont recommend them to anyone.
When beginning Weed Man Yard Service my experience began bad and ended bad. Although, I wanted to give them a chance they failed miserably. So here is the story. I began weed man with a scheduled date that was not done but I was charged for. Luckily, I was home. Called in yo report my findings that I was billed although no did the lawn. They asked me was I sure. Lol 😆 Well, my camera's say the service never happened. Thank God for camera's. That was strike one. 😳 So, I asked them to call ahead and I needed to be home. Don't use weed Man. We have been using them for the past 2 years and my lawn looks terrible. Unfortunately I can't post pictures here but trust me when I say, use someone else. My husband and I enjoy gardening and taking care of our yard and have been very patient with this company but in the end they were awful. Would not refund our last 2 treatments that didn't help the lawn whatsoever. I have been calling them for the past 3 months with weed issues and they kept telling me it would be ok but it wasn't. Danielle (unsure of what role) has been ignoring my calls and I'm told she has no direct email or phone number. What a farse. Do your business somewhere else.
The Weed Man DFW has killed our lawn that had been thriving since the 1980’s. I’ve tried to speak with the local manager, Troy, and was treated rudely. They take no accountability for the damage.
