Starkey is the only American owned and operated hearing aid company now in existence. Founded in 1967, the firm is headquartered in Eden Prairie, Minnesota. It makes and sells hearing aids under both the Starkey brand as well as the All American Hearing, Audibel, MicroTech, and NuEar names.

I have had my Livio ai aids for over three years. The batteries last from 6am to 9pm when I go to bed. I have never had one go dead as mentioned in other reviews. I would like to know when the batteries need to be changed...

The rechargeable battery life is terrible. I get 8 hours in a work day, not much more. That is the only problem I have with the Livio Ai. Starkey needs a model like this with much more robust battery life so working people with long work days can go uninterrupted. These ran out of juice in the middle of tasks and meetings. The portable charger works well, but I have to swap to the old hearing aids during charges. The battery life gets worse over time. If this model were built like it SHOULD BE, it would offer #13 batteries like the Halo. The Halo is good but more vulnerable to microphone clog and is awkward with only one button. In 2021, I donated a set of practically new (worn 5-10x) Phonak hearing aids (worth ~$4500) I purchased in 2015 to Starkey Hearing Foundation. I found them online and saw that they accept donations and are a 501-c-3 organization, and that they would provide me with a tax-deductible receipt. I printed out these materials so I would follow the instructions perfectly. I donated these hearing aids in GOOD FAITH and waited the 6-8 weeks they requested. I received no receipt. At week 10, I called and they told me they aren't giving out TD Receipts anymore. So now I get no tax deduction and they confiscated my hearing aids. I have ITC hearing aids from Starkey and they are overpriced junk. As soon as the warranty expired both hearing aids broke and Starkey wanted $400 to fix each of them. I had to make adjustments every time I took the hearing aids out as the program would not stay set on the program I selected. I wouldn’t recommend these to my worst enemy. Any hearing aid is better than a Starkey!

I love my Starkey Livio AI hearing aids. The difference they have made in my hearing and consequently in my life is amazing. They are rechargeable, so no more buying batteries. They can track the number of steps I walk, have a fall alert feature, have Bluetooth capability, and there are optional accessories, like a speaker you can put in a table in a meeting that picks up the voice of the person who is speaking and sends the sound you your hearing aids. The Bluetooth feature allows me to listen to music in a phenomenal quality. I am so happy that I have these hearing aids!

left aide does not charge fully or when does charge does not last. Sent back thru Audiologist to Starkey for repair came back with same issue. Sent in multiple times before warranty expired always came back and had the same issue now the right one does not fully charge even when left in for multiple days. I am of the opinion that the units were not repaired or replaced when under warranty but just cleaned and sent back. I go along with other reviews about not being worth the price you pay.

The product is substandard, even getting them for free from the VA, THEY ARE NOT WORTH THE AGGRAVATION! Yes,I am returning them to the VA. Their software is totally unstable, settings and so forth have to be redone daily,and their technical support is useless,except for a lady named Diane, the rest, not once, and there were many times ever resolved any issue for me. Oh yeah, when they don't know, they blame it on you. I will walk around half deaf until I can afford a real pair. STAY AWAY!!

i paid 7k for this brand in 2017, 3.5 years later one plastic part got broken and i was told to pay 500 $ to get it repaired , i would expect them to last a little bit longer for this price . Oh well...

Would never buy from them again, I bought two separate sets from two different dealers over the years. The first dealer would not stand behind their warranty and the second dealer continually sent the left in the ear hearing aid back for repair. Not worth the money or trouble.

worn HA's for nearly 40 years, first pair Audiotone (paid for) remainder thru V.A. (no cost for those disabled) and have been Starkeys, all I do is send them for repairs, constantly. Remember being told by original audiologist to avoid Starkeys, now I know why.
