Your company disenrolled my 83 yr old mother without her signature. They called it. "Plan error". During the month of March, I had to deal with the uninformed, horrible customer service. I talked to 3 supervisors, separated days, on speaker phone with my mother. She gave verbal auth to speak on her behalf. 2 of the supervisors, William and Stefan assured me that she would be reenrolled, to be post dated to March 1st. Mom called to get her ID# and found out she was not covered at all. I rate your company lower than 0. Treating seniors like that. You should be ashamed

This is the worst business I have ever dealt with, even worse than businesses are located in the third world. They try to make your life hard in order to make you give up on appeal.

My doctor ordered a calcium scoring heart CT and I had an appointment set up for Friday and they had the information from my doctor Wednesday night and I called United three times Thursday but they never authorized the test so it had to be canceled and I have never had a CT, also my doctor rarely orders any tests for me except the annual preventative lab, and mammogram.

They offer lots of plans but they all end with someone one the other end of the phone telling you that they are not going to pay,. You can buy the best plan or the least expensive and and they have an answer either way. This isn't insurance, it's fraud dressed in legalese and a suit.

I was enrolled under UnitedHealthcare as a retiree, but they dropped me with no notice and no explanation one month before I turned 65. I had to reschedule medical appointments, including one for cancer surgery, as well;l as having some prescriptions lapse because of what UHC did to me. When I call them all they will say is "Sorry, you don't have health care!" One lady said that they had made a mistake, and gave us a number to call to get it straightened out, but the people at that number were clueless. This seems to be a VERY POORLY run company. I would definitely NOT recommend UHC health insurance to ANYONE!!!

I have never had so many problems getting a simple medication filled. I have several medications that I take on a continuous basis. I have been getting them filled at pharmacy "X". I go in and they will fill all but one and tell me that United Healthcare says I have to have that one filled be pharmacy "Y" because it is a "maintenance" prescription meaning I continually use it over a long period of time. My wife takes the same medication as the one they won't refill but she has never had a problem getting hers filled repeatedly. I went through the process of switching all my medications over to pharmacy "Y" and when I tried to pickup my meds they tell me at pharmacy "Y" that United... Read More

We are members of the UHC Advantage plan2. My wife’s doctor prescribed Metronidazole topical GEL 0.75% for her. At CVS pharmacy it was charged $122.93, the UHC search shows $96.41 for a retail chain pharmacy. Why is such discrepancy please? I wanted to send an email to UHC however there is not such an option.

I received a notice that something changed on my policy. I called to ask what changed because the new policy did not state exactly what changed, and my call was shipped overseas to some poor lady who must live in a tin shack and who barely speaks english. She said she could not answer my question but could take a payment for my AARP membership. No help at all.

I have been on Linzess for over 3 years and UHC has covered it for the last 2 years. Now out of the blue they decided that I no longer need it. They have also decided that I do not need Invokana for my type 2 diabetes. When you call them you just get a big run around and appeal after appeal is denied out of hand. I would seriously think twice before singning up with them. I will be switching carriers as soon as possible.

My wife & I had insurance through UHC. At some point, UHC decided to change how they pay our providers & put us on the hook for $3500. We've switched to Blue Cross & strongly recommend you avoid UHC.
