Founded in 1982, Wine Insiders is an online retailer of wines from around the world. The company offers an exclusive selection of wines not found in stores or other online wine shops. Customers can select wines on their own or join the Wine Insiders Club to enjoy quarterly shipments of vintages curated by Wine Insiders' staff. Wine Rating

Wines are chosen by a team of wine experts who sample over 2,000 bottles a year. On average, these experts approve 5 out of every 100 bottles sampled. Overall quality of Wine Insiders wines is on par with those found in wine chain stores, though Wine Insiders' collection of wines includes many that are exclusive to the company. There is a notable absence of wines with 90+ ratings, however customers who want to stick to lower-priced wines will find several dozen wines in the $10 to $15 dollar range.

Wine Insiders Review

Wine Insiders offers an excellent value with its introductory offer of 15 bottles for $89. Their introductory wines do not include any particularly pricey or highly-rated vintages, but quality seems to be on par with what you'll find at similar prices at large wine retailer chains and the collection offers a nice variety of wines produced outside the US. Similarly, their curated cases offer a lot of variety and afford wine drinkers the opportunity to explore new wines with every order.

Can’t believe negative comments. Have ordered several cases and no problems. Recently put wrong address on line. Call answered right away by gal who promptly took care of it. I am not a novice and have had my share of $300 wine. As an everyday drinker I like to sample wines from different terroirs. I enjoy finding balance, structure etc. Yes some wines have been not up to par but I have never received a bottle that I thought was priced wrong. Some of the French Bordeauxs have been absolutely excellent and priced way below retail stores. Excellent value for money and would highly recommend.

I received this e mail..."I wanted to reach out and apologize for this delay and offer you a one-time 40% off discount that can be applied to all bottles, packs, and magnums on your next order. Please click here to order – and remember that your discount will automatically be applied in your shopping cart at checkout." There was no expiration date anywhere in the e mail. When I attempted to use this WITHIN THE MONTH, I did not get the discount. Customer service said the offer was no longer available and said they had other offers and refused to honor their offer. On principle I will no longer order from a bait and switch company.

I found a wine that I really enjoyed and have been ordering cases of it. My last order was delayed and I got an e mail saying take 40% off your next order...click here to order. There was no expiration date. Within the month I went to use it to order holiday gifts and was not given any discount. I contacted customer service and included the original e mail offering the discount (with NO EXPIRATION DATE) and was told that it must have expired and they would not honor it but I could get a magnum of something for free with my order. No desire to do business with a bait and switch company. Very disappointed....

I enjoy the red wines. I am a fan of zinfandel, and Wine Insiders has a very nice selection of delicious zinfandels. I started with a Groupon and have continued to order because they offer promotions that are as good as the initial Groupon and better than retailers. I love having it delivered to my door, especially during Covid-19. My orders have been delivered promptly.

We are very pleased with Wine Insiders! We ordered our first shipment of 15 bottles last week of a wine that is our favorite that we have not been able to find for years. (At a fraction of the cost of what we used to pay.) The order arrived in 36 hours. Just ordered a second shipment of other wines yesterday and it is already out for delivery today. That is service! Their customer service is top notch!

I have been using wine insiders for almost 5 years now and have always had a wonderful experience. The wines are generally good, shipping is fast, and the prices are reasonable. I like that I get to try new wines at a decent price outside of the 10 wine brands I typically see in the stores.

Ordered from a Groupon March 4. Finally April 26, 2020, I got the order cancelled since it was never delivered. GROUPON, from which I placed the ordered refused to refund the money and only offer a credit. QUOTE...."as a result of Covid -19, we're unable to offer you a refund to your original form of payment" This is a rip off and BTW, using Covid 19, which hadn't even hit on March 4 in USA, as an excuse to steal, is sick.

Their customer service sucks. We ordered wine and it was damaged in shipment. A replacement was not sent automatically although the shipment was Never received and was returned to wine insiders by fed ex. I contacted them and was told that they do not re-ship until the customer contact them. They relied on a policy that applies to wine damaged in shipment but received by the customer. They were notified when FedEx return the box to them. When I complained, I went to the end of the line. They made no effort to expedite our order. Their customer service is poor and lacking.

Awful shipping, the first time ordering had a bad experience gave it another try and no improvement way to long to ship. Ordered from other wine clubs and received my shipment 2 weeks before this. As for the wine it’s average wouldn’t say it’s great. I won’t be ordering from this company again. Not worth it.
