Founded in 1982, Wine Insiders is an online retailer of wines from around the world. The company offers an exclusive selection of wines not found in stores or other online wine shops. Wine Rating

Wines are chosen by a team of wine experts who sample over 2,000 bottles a year. On average, these experts approve 5 out of every 100 bottles sampled. Overall quality of Wine Insiders wines is on par with those found in wine chain stores, though Wine Insiders' collection of wines includes many that are exclusive to the company. Wine Insiders Review

Wine Insiders offers an excellent value with its introductory offer of 15 bottles for $89. Their introductory wines do not include any particularly pricey or highly-rated vintages, but quality seems to be on par with what you'll find at similar prices at large wine retailer chains and the collection offers a nice variety of wines produced outside the US. Similarly, their curated cases offer a lot of variety and afford wine drinkers the opportunity to explore new wines with every order.

I usually order the special selection from the email notification. I order only when I'm ready, no need for a membership, delivered right to my door. I get to try some new labels, they're always good. If I want something specific, I can always go to my local store. Never had any "issues"

We had purchased from Wine Insiders a number of times, but when their prices doubled, we stopped. Recently, in response to a comment from me, they sent me a couple of offers at their original prices. I’ve tried them, and am entirely pleased with the product and the service. It’s a good value for entirely enjoyable wines.

I love this company. Lots of email specials. I've ordered from them about 8 times and never paid for shipping, using special packages that come with free shipping. All of the wine I've tried has been very good to excellent quality. I started with them because I didn't know a lot about wine and they selected the bottles. Now that I know a little bit more I am selecting my own in some cases. :) I love the package deals!! Very affordable. The packaging is great. Delivery is very fast. Excellent company. I have referred to several friends.

Yes, I am a customer of Wine Insiders, but, I am not a club member. I like the wines, especially the flavored ones, like the strawberry, raspberry, etc. I am not too keen on the driest wines. To me, they are too strong. The wine orders only take a couple of days, three at the most.

I ordered a case of wine and stayed home waiting for delivery. It never came. On the FEDEX website it changed the delivery date to the next day. Again, I stayed home and no delivery. I contacted Wine Insiders and was told that FEDEX lost the shipment. How do you 'lose' a case of wine? Anyway, Wine Insiders shipped another case, and again, I waited all day Thursday where FEDEX had said it was out for Delivery. At 9pm, no delivery. I checked FEDEX website and it was changed to Friday. Again, Friday, no delivery. Now the website says, Delivery Pending'. I have no idea what the deal is with Wine Insiders and FEDEX, but after 2 weeks I still do not have the wine I paid for. Never... Read More

Do not order from these people! I have tried 3 times not to cancel my subscription. Each time it says cancelled but then a month later they charge me again. It got so bad I am contacting my bank. DO NOT BUY.

I am very pleased with the wines I have received and the prices are better than competitors. Recently, I had a shipment damaged in transit through no fault of Wine Insiders. The shipment was replaced immediately. I cannot expect any better customer service. Ela, from CS is awesome and deserves any praise.

I ordered a box of wine and it was supposed to be delivered on Friday, well it wasn't and was told at the end of day Friday it would be delivered on Saturday, then the same thing happened every day and now it's Tuesday and no wine and no information from Wine Insiders on when it will be delivered. They just tell me they are waiting on FedEx. Very Unhappy and you have to be home for a signature. This happened on my last order also, but came the next day. It is frustrating, I am not sure I will order from them again.

To say that these are the worst tasting wines ever would be a major understatement. Despite purchasing a case of various wines (bordeauxs, pinots, italians, etc), they all tasted consistently terrible, not like cooked or corked wine, but like as if grape juice was mixed with cheap vodka sold from a plastic gallon jug. I do not consider myself to be a wine snob and can tolerate cheap wine like Yellow Tail, but the wines from Wine Insiders could not even be used to make sangrias or for cooking, and all had to be poured down the drain. With the cheap foil on the bottles and suspect labels, it really makes me wonder if these wines were just manufactured in some garage. THEY ARE THAT BAD.
