My husband called to cancel our policy today because we can now get VSP thru his employer. The payment was made on the 22nd of this month (March 2019) and today is the 27th. That payment pays us up until May 1, 2019. They would not give us a refund!! So now I have paid for a policy for over a month that I will not use!! What a way for a company to make money!! I am not happy with VSP right now. That is just wrong to keep a customer's money like this! I will not recommend VSP even though I have to use it through my husband's employer.

I am a relatively new member to VSP. Immediately after enrollment, I received a "welcome" email along with various documents and benefits information specific to the plan I purchased. I reviewed the information sent by email and found it to be correct, then as instructed, visited VSP.com to set up my online account. Once online, I clicked on the link to see my benefits information. I was shocked to realize that my online account was showing a completely different plan than the one I signed up for, which was the "Easy Options" plan. The plan that was attached to my account was not only incorrect but had greatly reduced benefits to my plan! I immediately called customer service, and an... Read More

As an out-of-network provider's office, VSP has made it hideously hard to be able to help our VSP patients. VSP no longer allows us to speak to representatives to get the benefits for the patients. They are having the patients call for their out-of-network benefits and manipulating them to go in-network. We have long time patients that do not want to go to another provider so we are now telling them to tell their HR to eliminate VSP and offer another vision insurance that can be more helpful. We used to like VSP and I wish we could be in-network but we are not allowed because we don't carry frames in our locations. Sad.. but we will definitely be suggesting to patients to pick other... Recently ordered new glasses. Same prescription as last year, but this pair of glasses lenses are much thicker. Eye doctor says that is the lens my insurance says I have to have this year. I am very unhappy. Been with VSP for years, but will be looking at other options during the fall enrollment period. Pat Johnson, Valley Lee Md
