I engaged ATS in 2019 to negotiate a payment plan on my behalf. They also told me they would file my 2020, 2021 and 2022 tax returns for me. After four years and $5,000 and multiple requests to see any sort of verifiable evidence that they've done something, anything on my behalf, I not only find out my returns have not been filed -- although I was ensured many times that they have -- but the IRS has flagged my 2021 return for identity fraud. ATS tells me that now I have to call the IRS and sort it out myself. David Cruz of Anthem Tax Service was fantastic, he spoke to me for about an hour late one Friday night and said he would do some research before charging me anything. He sent me a form to sign and 2 business later he got back to me with good news. He didn't charge me any fee.
I agreed with this past clients who gave Anthem a 1 star. I'm a tax victim who gave this company $7500 to help with our tax problems. The end result was bad. They got us a non streamlined payment plan with the IRS that included interest and penalties and a tax lien. I already had a tax lien from 2011 you will think they help you not get another one on my tax record. Make matter short they promised to reduce your tax balance and they didn't do that either. Anthem Tax is interested in selling the idea of relief and protection by professionals from the IRS but they cannot do either. They did nothing after taking our money except delay and ignore us until we owe nearly double what it was when we hired them for $3200. They tried last year, at over 2 years on the case to get us to sign a settlement agreement to pay the full amount, no penalty abatement or anything. Nothing at all was done to resolve the problems we have with the audits, like a 1099 that is not ours for one year, and the auditor not using our 1040X for the second year.
