Cubesmart Delray Beach, FL has raised rates over 100% in less than two years. (Industry average is 4% annually) Manager simply doesn't care and is rude. Suggests it's a "supply and demand" issue. 100% in two years? Buyer beware
We used the Cubesmart on Grand Street in Elizabeth, NJ (027) for about 9 months. Our unit was on the 6th floor and when we moved out last week we were horrified that the unit had sustained water leaks and some of our items were mildewed. In addition brown bugs (not sure if they were roaches) were scurrying around. If you have anything of value I would highly suggest you not use this facility.
CubeSmart is not a company I will ever use again. I moved out 2 days into my paid month and received no refund. It is sad to see another company not caring about its clients and taking advantage of them in order to maximize profits.
I've had nothing but bad experiences from this company. The elevators are often broken. I was in a storage bldg late at night, my unit on the 2nd floor. I was trapped in the bldg for about a 1/2 hour, not able to find a staircase and not knowing the elevators were broken. If I didn't have someone waiting outside for me, I would have never heard someone yelling & banging on the only exit door, for me to find the exit to get out of the building. At least 3 times, within a months time, were the elevators down. I had to once carry HEAVY furniture up the stairs to the 2nd floor, just to get to my storage unit. Ash Mann with the Simpsonville CubeSmart is rude and nasty to the customers there. We have rented from this location for years including and prior to CubeSmart acquiring it two years ago. Never before have we been treated so rudely as we have by the current staff there. Daniel and Nick were great but unfortunately the staff turned over a couple of months ago and it has gone downhill ever since. My advice is to run away from renting at this property.
Good Morning Mr. Marino, I hope this e-mail reaches you quickly and you address this matter. My husband and I used a Cube Smart in Summerville, SC and had a great experience, so we decided to stay with Cube Smart when we needed to move our storage unit items to Greenville. We are in the middle of a long move (3 hours) and thought that would make it easier. We reserved a 10 X 30 unit 2 weeks ahead online and the store manager in Simpsonville called me (Ash Mann). We discussed the options in length and set up our appointment. We scheduled to come move into the 10 X 30 Unit on July 27. I rented a unit from Villa Rica GA the girl there Keriah was very good a d helpful. The other girl Page on the other hand was always abrupt and at times nasty. Keriah is an asset to the company.
The management services are vicious aggressive. When visiting on 2 occasions; Frankie Williams a manager was sexually harassing my 7 year old child with sexually face gestures. When I saw this, I asked Frankie does he understand she is a child. Frankie started yelling at me, “ you a white woman with no man to take care of you... and I can take care of you.” I advised Frankie I am married 27 years and do not appreciate assumptions or his harassment. I went to the General Manager, Karen Thomas who bullied me telling me my concern was in my head and if I complained again she will evict my storage unit. When I went to move items into my storage unit, I found that a nice new rug was waterlogged. Cube Smart's insurance - Great American Insurance Group was NO HELP. If Cube Smart wouldn't go into unit next to mine to see if there was damage there, I don't see how the insurance company could rule out a compromised roof. Either way, my rug was destroyed and neither Cube Smart or Great American Insurance Group gave me any satisfaction. Go to Metro Storage
