Did not kill one rodent the entire time we have been under contract...... they are too expensive and we actually saw rodent population multiply whilst we continue to pay monthly service. They also try to make money by recommending extra services that are very expensive ....... 10,000 dollars to get rid of rodents in attic ........ but the mice were being seeing occasionally and not at infestation levels so not sure why the exorbitant charge. Entire time under contract despite multiple so called traps they set didn't catch 1 rodent only traps we set ourselves caught anything ....... complete waste of money ......

I called to get a quote. The lady I spoke with was very friendly, so friendly I knew instantly she was only out to make a sale. When I thanked her for the information and said that I wanted to talk it over with my husband, she tried to talk me into just making the appointment anyway (seriously?). Then I also said that I wanted to get information from other companies, including some local. She started into a speech about how price isn't everything. At that point I cut her off and thanked her for the information, told her she'd been lovely and I hung up. I do not like the hard sell. She totally turned me off from using that company. Orkin in my opinion is a ripoff, they charged my bank $42.00 in July for services I never received. I asked them to do the service on Monday, Aug first and Jermy agreed to try to work me in.

Atlanta, GA area: I have had Orkin for four years. The first three years were great - this last year, not so much. The technician services my home and I see MORE pests after the service. I call and request another treatment and they send someone very knowledge and capable. I start asking for this individual to service my home and while Orkin promises to send him, someone else shows up. Not to mention they increased their service amount by almost 20% without prior notification!! 20%!! I can understand a few dollars 'due to inflation' but 20% is just pure greed. Made a scheduled appointment Sunday night for you guys to come Monday June 7th. Then you called an hour before you were supposed to arrive saying you had to cancel and I was told to reschedule for June 8th today between 10-12PM EST. I said ok and stuck with them because I understand things come up and i appreciated the call at least to let me know.... WELL NOW ITS June 8th and Its now 12:02 PM... I put my concern several times. I called the Baltimore branch several times, left messages but nobody called me back. First, Since i am the property manager and manage lot of properties and have to work around Tenant's schedule. I told orkins not to schedule any appointment till i get ok from the tenant. Everytime Orkin sent me appointment reminder i called them personally and told them not to schedule appointment. But i found out they scheduled the appointment and billed me for only outside service. Come to house I was buying for VA Termite inspection. After inspection they sent their findings saying that there was termite damage and needed treating. They wanted 1200 upfront and $725 a year to treat. I called Terminix who came out and inspected the house and found no evidence of termite problem or infection.We would have had to pay the $1200 to get our loan approved if there had been termite evidence or infection which there was not. All Terminix at least they are honest and they show up and they answer their phone.

Had them come out right before we moved in. The house has been empty for a couple years so lots of spiders. 2 weeks later I am still seeing spiders daily. Also outside of house is inundated with spiders/webs. Open the door and a huge spider web in the door frame. Call Orkin and tell them to come back. No response. 2 days later call again and tell them to come back. No response. Time to cancel service.

I'm very disappointed in this company, I have been a customer for 5 yrs or more, I called about sugar ants , we had them come assess the issue and hired them for routine mantnace. Since they started till now I've had more issues and more ants .as many yrs they've been exterminating my home inside and out my problems have only got worse. My house should never have a bug near it .lol. I'm fed up so now I'll seek another company to fix this issue!!!! The only thing that I liked was my exterminater,rico. Very nice and well manored.

Contacted Orkin about a hornet's nest, gave them information that it was 18 to 20 feet above our driveway on an outer tree limb. Were quoted a price and given arrival time for technician next day. The technician who came had no idea how to handle the hornet removal; took pictures of it and kept calling supervisor. He talked about pulling the nest down out of the tree and coming back the next day to treat it. However, he had no equipment with him to reach the nest, and said we would need to stay in our house until he came back to treat the nest. The tech did a horrible job. He lied to me and his manager. Cleared out the area so he could get under the house. He told me he did and the salesman he couldn't get under the house. Tech did very little. He didn't move the chairs so there is saw dust on my patio chairs now. The holes that were drilled into my house to keep carpenter ants out. It didn't matter that in some spots they lined up the holes were an inch different. It looks bad but they say that's the way they do it. DON'T EVER USE THEM. $300 and not much to show for the work I paid for. Sad....Excuses for everything done and not done....

If anyone who is looking for pest or termite control services, DO NOT USE ORKIN. Their sales representative will promise the services and not able to deliver after you signed the contract. They do not have proper equipment or training to provide for the services. Being a victim of the incident and it help others to learn from our loss. There are so many other pest & termite control companies out there for you to select. If they continue the poor customer services and I promise soon or later Orkin will not be in business.

i’ve only had Orkin for those about a month and a half and it cost me $206 the first time and then $50 a month skews me $52 a month every month even the month that they don’t come I have to pay I don’t think that’s very fair plus when they come they’re only here for about five minutes today they came to spray for spiders I told them I found one in the living room on the ceiling and one was crawling on my brother right outside the back door when he was sitting at the chair !! The customer service 2018 was very rude to me and against my will demanded they come out and spray my house after I explain no one will be home we was going out of town for Christmas and New year, They demanded they was coming any way and spray the outside I told them they could not get in my back yard because the gate would be locked, Both man and woman in customer service said they was going to send someone out even if they only spray around the front door, and they will send the person back the 26 which was the day after Christmas, We had to cut our holiday short and rush back home Christmas day and after all the drama from Orkin no one showed up the 26th they came two... We have had Orkin Pest Control's Termite contract since 1969. And we have had inspections annually by a representative of their company, who entered the crawl space and checked the entire area, as well as the detached garage and gave valuable feedback. The 2018 inspection was delayed until summer and I had to call to request it. The gentleman who responded in white shirt and tie did not enter the crawl space, but walked around the outside of the house, opened the crawl space access and peared inside.
