Rating of Midland Van Lines We moved from Colorado Springs, CO, to Sterling, VA. Pickup was on 5 July 2023, delivery on 12 August 2023. We were not satisfied with the move. During my research to find a good moving company, Jonathan Weisman at Midland told me that Midland was a family owned and operated company whose workers were employed by Midland and even wore Midland uniforms unlike Acme Relocation also under consideration which was a broker who packed and used a common carrier to deliver. There are lots of horror stories when it comes to dealing with moving companies. Thankfully, mine wasn't one of them. From the beginning phases of setting up our move from Tacoma, WA to Dallas, TX all via email and one phone call, to the actual move, went without a hitch. The sales guy was extremely receptive, polite and professional. Every email I sent him was answered expeditiously. The driver of the moving truck was also great to deal with. He was prompt, very respectful, professional and personable. He made sure all of our belongings, as well as our home was treated with 'White Glove Service'. Every item was tagged and accounted for. I promised to the sales rep of this company that I will write a review after taking their moving services. So, now I am keeping my promise. Being honest, I am not the person who usually writes reviews but these did so much for me and I had to do this. It was not an easy decision for me to make. Moving to another state with the family was not easy. But fortunately my office was paying for the relocation. So, I could hire a reputable company. ON PICK-UP OF MY POSSESSIONS Alex showed up in front of my apartment building in an 18-wheeler truck, instead of the 26’ box truck I had been told by Midland would be used to move my things to a bigger truck, since the area of West Seattle in which I lived was so congested. He parked the truck in the street in front of my building, straddling/blocking a 3-minute loading zone and a 30-minute loading zone, which are clearly marked with signs. This prevented people from being able to use some of the parking spaces on the street for about 3-4 hours.
