Authority Moving Group use third party moving companies to move customer’s furniture. They do not inform you of this before they you sign a contract. The companies they use have no professionalism. They destroyed my stuff with sever water damaged. Many of my items were covered with mold. Sever furniture pieces were broken or smashed beyond repair. Neither company will do anything to help repair or replace items. They hide behind their damage clause in the contract so they can miss handle customers items with no worries of settling any claims. I would stay away from this company as much as you can. Unless you don’t care what condition your items arrive at there destination.
DON'T EVER HIRE THIS COMPANY. Worst company ever. Customer Service support agents and managers hide behind answering service and never get back to you. Quick to take your money but never deliver. Move never happened and has never returned deposit. Been over 2 months.
If there was a way to leave negative stars I would. This company is terrible and they falsely advertise their services. AMG is NOT a moving company despite the photo on their page of a man wearing AMG branded clothes. They are broker, but they won’t tell you that. Once they collect the initial payment, they shop your job around to movers who will do the job for very cheap rates. Theses other companies are not required to abide by any of the details in the contract you sign with them. Additionally, they do not stick with you through the move. Worst company to work with ever. They will falsely sell you on the service they provide then once you put a security deposit down- ignore you and do nothing to help get your things to you. I had movers pickup my items in LA on 4/11... it's 5/18 and my things have still not made it to NY.
Use any company BUT them.
DO NOT USE THEM! Scam business C- BBB rating Scam moving company. They promise everything over the phone and then have you sign a contract that negates everything you discussed. DO NOT HIRE THEM! I have to take them to court to get my things! IT'S BEEN WEEKS AND I STILL HAVEN'T GOTTEN MY THINGS! They contracted with a moving company that has an F rating on the BBB. Authority Moving has a C- rating on BBB. Oh, and if you get David Thomas or Brinae, call the cops--the worst scam artists I have ever come across!!! DO NOT USE AUTHORITY MOVING GROUP! At first the sales reps will be extremely nice to you and then as soon as payment is made then they will disappear. It is bait & switch as I was originally quotes $2k and then when the actual movers showed up they charged me $3800. In the end, I ended up paying close to $4300 for a one bedroom. I had less than 20 moving boxes and only a few items of furniture. The movers showed up 1.5 hours early, they never had my updated inventory list, then they waited 40 days to ship the furniture from Seattle. It arrived on the 50th day and they showed up at 7am. BEWARE- DO NOT USE! This company is a scam, they are not a moving company but a broker. They third party out your move to unlicensed criminal movers that you have no part in choosing or are aware of as they mislead you to believe they are a moving company. Beware of their sales reps, they are misleading and purposely quote you low to pay a deposit. Their reviews on on there sites are filled with fake reviews! They tell you you have all your things covered by their insurance and make you sign which in turn is refusing insurance coverage before they tell you you could of had better insurance! I had the exact opposite experience from what I'm reading on this page, thus I'm taking time out of my insanely busy schedule to write this review. If I could rate them below the stars I see, I would. The key reasons for my family's complaint are based on the following: Predatory Pricing. Employee Negligence. Customer Service. Breach of Contract. Given we've yet to hear back from anyone at Authority about our experience, including the Director of Operations, we will continue to escalate to ensure consumers are aware. These guys gave me a great moving experience. They were so easy to get ahold of and scheduling my move was quick and simple. They confirmed with me ahead of time and showed up exactly when they said they would. Everything was wrapped and cared for very efficiently. I watched them load things on to the truck and they made sure that everything was packed tightly. They were so careful. I plan to use them again the next time I have to move. They really did an incredible job.
I have to give 5 stars to this company and if there were more than 5 stars to give, I would. I am so happy with my experience with Authority Moving Group. I haven’t been this happy with a customer service experience in a very long time. Authority Moving Group not only met every single one of our expectations but they were able to anticipate our needs. They ensured that we had the absolute best move possible and worked hard the whole way through the process. I will certainly use their services again. It was worth every penny.
