I used AmeriSafe Moving Services over a year ago and they are NOT fast, safe or reliable. They never disclosed they were a "broker" and not the actual mover. By the time I found out which was 2 days prior to my move, it was too late to cancel as I would not have gotten my payment back. The actual movers they "pawned" me off on only picked up my goods but never delivered them. This company then "pawned" me off to another company who proceeded to scam me out of more money in order to deliver my goods. The driver, in fact, held my goods hostage and would not deliver them until I paid him extra money. When my goods finally got delivered, I was missing 3 boxes, had many damaged/broken items... The movers were on schedule, worked fast, and took great care to ensure that nothing was damaged or scratched. I really liked that they had clear pricing with no additional costs.

I have had a very similar experience as those noted below. I initially contacted AmeriSafe in January for a move that would occur sometime in the spring. THey promised me "winter rates" if I paid half down then, and the rate they quoted, based on my inventory, was lower than other quotes. However, when it came to reassessing at move time, though I actually had FEWER items, they charged me one and a half times as much as they promised. On top of this, all the information AmeriSafe gave regarding the moving company was incorrect in terms of when my items would be loaded and arrive at my destination. Very much a bait-and-switch. Was a horrible experience. I got a quote from them two months ago. Michael said the quote would not change and it was " locked in" They are not a moving company they are a broker. They failed to tell me this on the phone. The moving company that showed up doesn't exist on Google and payment could only be Zelle, bank check or cash. Then the proceeded to tell me it would cost twice as much and that " brokers" do this all the time. I tried contacting Michael at amerisave but of course was unable to. They didn't have enough room for our stuff even though we were very clear . We had to hire another company " stairhoppers" they were incredible, honest and efficient and didn't break the bank.... To Whom It May Concern, I am writing to formally file a complaint against Amerisafe Moving Services regarding my recent experience with their company, which I believe involved deceptive business practices and misrepresentation of services. I initially contacted Amerisafe Moving Services for a household move and made it explicitly clear that I required a 26-foot truck to accommodate my belongings. You are such a bad moving service. This bunch moving us doesn’t have a clue what they are doing. And most of them don’t speak English. We are moving a four bedroom house and they bring one rider truck to but our stuff in.
I have, also, fell victim to AmeriSafe's fraudulent advertising and scheme. AmeriSafe advertises that their company "ensures efficient and hassle-free relocation. This rhetoric is particularly attractive to older individuals like myself. This is a fraudulent statement. The move was a nightmare of lies, inefficiency, totally incompetent movers and highly damaged and broken furniture. There has been no support from AmeriSafe who charged me a lot of money paid upfront and assigned me a completely substandard moving company-Arena Van Lines of New Jersey.
