When I think about what makes a meal service like Freshly most appealing to a consumer like me.....it's not necessarily the food quality (standard of product), or even the fact that it gets mailed to me (convenience) that differentiates Freshly from alternate services. Both of those are great -- the most important thing is consistency. When I am planning my busy week, I'm also accounting for my meal planning. When and where I consume them. How much I spend. I agree with the comments about the Freshly delivery service - we had a lot of trouble with getting the shipments right at first. I order every week on the 6 meal plan but I have to say I almost cancelled during the first month or so because of the delivery mess up. They always gave me a credit, refund, etc. and I like that and I really think they try to get it right, so I stuck with them. My meals now come like clockwork, every Wednesday around the same time, and I have not had a problem in months! The packaging is very good, and the meals are always very cold and the ice packs solid. Very dissapointing. First order arrived, enjoyed it. Second order, get shipping notice, day before due. Next day, tracking shows no movement. Wait till 3pm, still no delivery, no email. Call and get told, so sorry , not shipped. Waiting now for supervisor. Totally unacceptable. Very disgusted, will not order again

Truly unacceptable service. After sending me dozens of flyers in the mail promoting their service, I decided to try them out. My first delivery was scheduled for April 26. Everything indicated that the delivery was expected to arrive on the day as planned. That evening, after already arriving home, I get a notification by email apologizing that their food delivery would not take place as scheduled!! This is the very first time I have ever experienced a failed delivery on any meal service other than Freshly. I would disagree that Freshly is a good choice unless you are flexible enough to come up with a meal plan on short notice when our delivery doesn't arrive which mine didn't either of the two times I ordered from them. I can't speak to the quality or taste of the food because I've never actually received a scheduled delivery - only excuses. I ordered two weeks in a row. The first week, I got an email that the meals were on their way but they never arrived. I was told they were sitting at the delivery service warehouse and would have to be destroyed because they would be in transit too long, leaving me scrambling for meals for the week while on travel. Very disappointed..placed order on January 2nd..supposed to receive meals on January 30th. Freshly having issues..said had to cancel order. Just gave $20 discount on future order..already had this discount. I am recovering from shoulder surgery and would have benefited from this service!

I’ve been subscribing to Freshly on/off over the last year & find the meals to be healthy, delicious, and the price reasonable, but feel they don’t offer enough variety. They do have many international choices for different tastes & diet restrictions, but for me many of their entrees were not to my taste, so I ended up only ordering 1x a month & skipping other weeks. I then discovered their breakfast menu & LOVED their entrees, which included healthy egg dishes like their BLT or green Chile frittatas. Unfortunately, they eliminated ALL of these from their menu- very disappointing! Overall, it’s a decent prepared meal service, just wish they would bring back their breakfast menu.

I thought I would try Freshly at the advice of my broker. It was supposed to come on Friday but didn’t come until Saturday afternoon. I waited all day for it to arrive. I didn’t even get a notice that it would be late. When I called to complain they said they would rebate me $10.00. Big deal! I told them to cancel the whole order and they said I would still have to pay. If you are in to tasteless food, mostly green beans and mashed potatoes you will love this food. For me it was awful and tasteless. What a ripoff!!!!

To begin, my first shipment never came in but they made it right and refunded me and gave me some credit on the next shipment. After trying the meals for a few weeks I decided to cancel because it wasnt quite what I was looking for. After canceling, I was charged and received another shipment. They said I needed to cancel my shipment as well as my subscription. Really? How does cancelling a subscription not also cancel any pending shipments? They refused to refund me.

My family has been getting Freshly meals once a month since spring & we've loved them all. So nice to take a break from cooking or take-out with a fully-prepared fresh & healthy dinner for a couple of nights.
