Over 35 years, Southern California-based Sit’n Sleep has become one of the largest mattress retailers in the United States, though they also sell mattress and bedroom accessories. Their prices are kept so low, they can afford to honor their tagline: “"We'll beat anyone's advertised price or your mattress is freeee."

Size and Firmness

The five standard mattress sizes that Sit’n Sleep works with are Twin, Twin XL, Full, Queen, King, and California King, though exact mattress sizes depend on each manufacturer, as well as by the model.

Full or Double

California King

Their mattresses include a range of firmness levels: Firm, Cushion Firm, Plush, and Ultra Plush. Sit’n Sleep carries virtually every type of mattress as well, such as foam, hybrid, innerspring, latex, and memory-foam. Since Sit’n Sleep carries such a large variety of mattresses, before beginning to shop or even consulting with a sales representative, it’s a good idea to figure out a few things, such as your preferred sleep position, if you need special support due to physical constraints or conditions, and whether your partner has the same needs.

Some really good aspects of shopping at showroom that combines a number of different companies and types of mattresses is that you not only get to try out the mattresses, but can also participate in a detailed consultation. Sit’n Sleep requires their consultants to participate in and attend sleep health and training courses on an ongoing basis, which gives them an additional edge

Delivery is also complimentary on local orders over $399.

Purchase Details

Sit’n Sleep offers a 60-day sleep trial, divided into two 30-day periods. They require their customers to sleep in their new mattress for a minimum of thirty days, claiming that it generally takes 8-10 weeks to properly break in a new mattress. After this period, customer have a 30-day period during which they can replace their mattress for another of equal or greater value, with a 20% re-stocking fee that cannot exceed $500.00. This policy does not apply to items that are closeouts, floor samples, or if the mattress in question is dirty or otherwise misused.

Warranties depend on the manufacturer and brand, and can range from anywhere between one year to to 25 or even 30. The most common warranties cover replacement

Finally, Sit’n Sleep also offers financing, via a credit card issued by Synchrony Bank, subject to credit approval.

They have excellent reviews on Consumer Affairs, with high praise for the quick installation process and helpful, hassle-free customer service.
