This completely rotted my roof line and cost us a fortune to replace it when we sold our home. Never again. It cost so much that I could have paid someone to clean the gutters twice a year for the 13 years we had Gutter Helmet installed. Terrible product.
customer service sucks when they come out to install had to call them back look at video they did not do what they were suppose to do. they cancel a service call and talking to them is a night beware of the company they suck
Gutter Helmet may be good for keeping leaves out of the gutter but it causes another problem that is just as bad or worse! I had them installed during the fall of 2018. All last winter when snow would start to melt from the roof, icycles would form all along the gutter helmet and drip onto my deck and onto my steps causing extremely dangerous icy conditions for me or, anyone coming to my house, going up or down my steps. I was never told that this might be a problem. I would expect the melting ice would drip into the gutter!! This was never a problem when I did not have the gutter helmet. Gutter Helmet is horrible company with a faulty product that’s back by a worthless piece of paper! Don’t waste your time nor money on these jokers .
Gutter helmet doesn’t work. It costed $1500 to be installed. Then It clogged from time to time. We have to call them to come over to lean/unclog the gutter. It took them a long while to come. Or we don’t even know if they came, they don’t scheduled the time as owner don’t need to be there when they come. Before they clean, they would come over to check/exam the gutter. Then they would make excuses that repair need to be done before the cleaning. The repair quote was $750. What’s the point to have the gutter helmet?
Gutter Helmet has effectively kept leaves out of my gutters. However, every year pollen gets on the guards which causes water/dirt to overflow the gutter and leave my gutters looking UGLY. I have to have Gutter Helmet come out and clean the guards every year--which is a tremendous hassle. Would have cheaper and just as easy having someone manually clear the gutters.
Worst customer service I have ever had. After months of calling, they removed the old screens and offered me 1/2 refund or upgrade. Sent them videos of failing guards and it still took 2 or 3 weeks to get them to take them off. Who would want to try something else when no one follows up? Still dealing with this.
I had the gutter helmet installed in 2010. At the time the sales representative advised me that not only it will prevent gutter clogging with tree debris but it wil also prevent from forming of excessive icicles in the winter. Also, the sales person said should we need a new roof they will remove and reinstall one time free of charge. Fast forward, not only that the product does not prevent from gutter clogging , in the winter the icicles that form at the edge are bigger than before. And, not so fast with the "one time free for the original owner" removal and reinstall. Had the gutter helmet system installed in 2004 in Orlando, FL., when a new roof was installed. Looks nice... The corner seam dripped from day one over my front porch, and they sealed it at least 3 times. Gutter is plugged with leaves as it does every year; that the system is supposed to prevent. When it rains water just drips off, since the gutters are plugged. It still drips over my front porch. I gave up dealing with Gutter Helmet. It looks nice though. Surprised they are still in business after 15 years.
I have gutter helmet and have had nothing but issues. Every year birds get in and nest. I have called the installer on several occasions and they say they will back out and correct and never do. All o get is the runaround. I guess since they ha e my money i m not a priority anymore. So where does this lifetime
warranty protect me???
