I called today and asked for information on solar shades to compare the solar heat gain Coefficient, the RValue and the UPF factors in the solar shades and the cellular products.
The rep was very nice and helpful . went to her supervisor but they have NO information on this for solar shades.
So how to compare them to know which is better for me?
I was disappointed because they are not cheap in price.
We recently purchased Levolor shutters from Lowes in N. Lakeland Fl. the first batch we ordered came perfect then recently we wanted to order the rest . First I have to say this is by NO WAY Lowes fault every thing was sent true to size when ordered but when they came we had one set that was to big. We went back to lowes they made a few calls to these people so they send us a new frame the correct size but the shutters were to big they belong with the original frame. Terrible product. Very difficult to shorten, and never looks quite 'right'. Wand mechanism clicks and binds. Won't last long. When all the way up, the entire group of slats, sags one side or the other. Shame on Lowe's and shame on Levolor. I will never buy their product again. I have to live with this for now, spent so much time getting them installed and shortened (and I am a very handy person) that I just cannot deal with starting over. I am disusted.
We ordered 5 Levolor designer texture color ‚snow‘ blackout blinds for 71“ tall windows. The turnaround time was pretty quick with less than 2 weeks, the blinds, manufactured in Mexico, arrived well packaged. When starting to mount them we noticed that: - two of them had a black spot on the front, very well visible on one of them - the bottom rail on one of them was scratched on the back - the length of the endless loop cord was at least a feet too short on three of them and will need to get replaced so that everybody in the house can work the blinds - the clutch on the largest blind disintegrated when we used it for the first time, the blind came down and could not be pulled up... I have struggled getting resolve with badly made wand that come with the blind set. After almost 3 months they send me replacement for all the damaged wands. None fit or are compatible with the unit. Sad thing is why would you send this as a replacement knowing they do not fit. I sent the, reply amd it’s going nowhere fast once more. Terrible customer service mediocre quality blinds.dont waste your tim. I give them no stars for rating.
Recently purchased Levolor trim n go blinds from Lowes Hardware,will never buy again! Very cheaply built and trying to cut and adjust the length is a pain in the butt!! I ruined one my sets of blinds trying to do this. I would have rather spent the extra money and bought the ones that are cut to fit. Extremely dissatisfied with this purchase,but as I am on a fixed budget, I will have to deal with the crappy look of these poorly designed blinds!! The bottom blind does not operate with the rest of the blinds when trimmed to fit the window length! Very unhappy!
March 2019 purchased Levolor sheer blinds from Lowes. After they were hung in my front window, I walked outside and all the hardware/brackets you can see through the window. Sales Associate just informed me the Levolor has no solutions. Sheer blinds are an expensive investment and I can't believe they don't make a piece of white metal to cover up the brackets. I see there is another review stating the same problem. I will never purchase anything from this horrible company again. If I could give a "0" star, I would.
Worst thing I ever bought i have had 2 of these and they will not retract, they did once or twice and that was it 0 stars of there is such a thing
I purchased Qty13 of vertical 1" blinds in 2011. In the past week 3 of the blinds have the plastic rollers which turn the blinds broken. The thin plastic strip on the tops where the string is connected have all deteriorated and broken off. I am very dissatisfied with the quality of materials used in these blinds. I am sure that the rest will have the same problem.

I purchased Levolor living and dinning room blinds through a large retailer. The blinds are a natural woven material and look very nice. I ordered without a valance as I have a valance above the windows all ready and did not need a valance on the blinds. Little did I know or was I told the hardware would show on the outside. The bare wood and metal hardware looks horrible on the outside. The hardware is very visible and distracts from the looks of the windows on the outside. I contacted Home Depot and Levolor and both say there is nothing they can do and I would need to reorder at my expense since they were a custom order.
