Years ago Levolor made great shades. Never had a problem. The last one I bought at Lowes failed in 10 months. Would not stay down. Lowes would not take it back because they have 30 day return policy. Levolor offered that I could return it but I had to pay shipping. A warranty is not worth much of you have to pay to use it
Aluminum mini blinds purchased in 2002 are still working just fine. I purchased 7 more in 2011 for a new sunroom and three of them have failed. Those came with two piece wands that didn't hang straight, unlike the 2002 purchase that came with one-piece wands. This morning, another of the 7 blinds failed when I turned the wand to open it. This is the third blind that has failed from the 2011 purchase. Downgrading your products to improve profitability was a poor decision on Levolor's part, though I'm aware that predatory capitalism is the order of the day. I'll never buy another Levolor product or a Hunter Douglas product.
Shipment of 2 blinds doesn’t have installation brackets. I dimensioned these as “OUTSIDE” installation but was not sent the brackets shown in the instructions. How did you think I was going to install them, levitation? Girlfriend very disappointed, I’m angry. Piss poor miss on your part. Won’t be ordering other blinds from you. Where can I get the brackets to actually be able to use your blinds??? Ordering application wasn’t very clear about the brackets, but I definitely hit the icon for “OUTSIDE” installation.
I had a problem, largely my own fault and Levolor replaced my blinds no questions asked. Great blinds, good colour, easy to use, some challenges with our DYI instal until we figured it out and the it was straight forward from there, Just moved house and now looking to Levolor blinds for new residence.
VERY difficult to install especially clicking it on and EXTREMELY difficult to remove, almost impossible- must have a lot of strength to remove as well as clicking on.
I purchased Sets Of Levelor Blind From Home Depot 3.5 Years Ago. I recently Had A Problem With One Blind,It Would Not Retract All The Way Up. I Returned Them To Home depot for Warranty Repair< They Sent Them Out For Repair . One Month Later I Got The Blind Back I Was Told That The Blind Was Fixed, When I Put Them Baxck On The Wall They Were No Better Than When I Took Them Off.I Personally Think That Nothing Was Done To Rectify The Issue. Im Not Impressed With The Service.
1) First sales clerk was about to cut "Faux Wood Blind" to size without opening box. Fortunately 2nd sales clerk was more familiar with machine and did it correctly. 2) NO REFUNDS after cut to size!!! BUT "Shortening instructions" are NOT DETAILED enough, missing information, and user can EASILY make costly mistake !!!! BEWARE !!!!
I have tried to get samples of the fabrics for Levolor motorized roller shades. I needed these samples on short notice because of a sale both Home Depot and Lowe's are running. That sale ends on September 11th. I needed to see the samples to determine which fabric to order for our shades. No one in customer service, including a supervisor, could give me an update on the delivery date for the samples. They have hired another company to handle the delivery of the samples. Several customer service reps have sent emails to this company to get the updates, but that company has ignored all of their emails. We had our windows measured professionally and then ordered 7 rollers shades through Home Depot. All seven arrived after a 3 week wait time and not one fit as the rollers were so wide that the blind didn't cover the window. We sent them back and reordered seven cellular shades. It took 4 weeks to get the cellular shades which were delivered damaged. We are still waiting for our shades after a total of 11 weeks. Home Depot has contacted Levolor several times and Levolor tells them that they can't make the shades until more shades of the same color have to be made so as not to have to change the colors back and forth. Unfortunately, the cord-free ones require "tune-ups" every few years or so. The internal cords/gears can break and not move. At the very least, every single cord-free blind will slowly reduce their bottom length. I pay to have them sent back for repair once the window is exposed by 2 inches every couple years. They come back fixed and then slowly creep back up again. We raise or lower them extremely gently to avoid these issues but it doesn't seems to make a difference. They do carry a 10 year warrantly, but count on missing shades and paying for shipping back to them for "free" repairs. Find a product that doesn't require so many headaches. Or use cords.
