IntegraScan has an A+ rating from the Better Business Bureau. However, the only customer feedback in their profile is a single complaint from 2015, from a customer who was charged for a report that was never received. Ultimately, the customer received a refund. Additionally, a class action lawsuit was filed in 2012 which alleged that IntegraScan had violated the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA) by reporting on expunged or sealed criminal records and refusing to provide consumers with a copy of their reports after a dispute. The lawsuit was dismissed on a technicality and was never discussed on its merits, so there is no way to say whether the claims are fact-based. However, potential customers are advised to tread carefully. Online reviews posted elsewhere echo the sentiments contained in the lawsuit. As of February 1, 2017, IntegraScan claims to be FCRA-compliant. However, they also say they keep results confidential from the subject. It is unclear what they mean by this, since the FCRA requires employers to provide candidates a copy of the background check if the employer takes adverse action against the applicant.

IntegraScan offers three background check options, but since the first two only search criminal records for either a specific state or nationwide, the only one that is truly useful for businesses looking to fully check their applicants' backgrounds is the most expensive one. It includes many checks and searches, but some of them are rather irrelevant for an employment check, such as a list of neighbors or a property ownership search. Additionally, customers don't have the option to customize their results by removing searches they don't need.
