Company is a scam. I noticed a charge on my account from them. I had never heard of or seen the company before I noticed the charge. I look them up to see what business it was. I had no account with them, emailed support and asked to be canceled and for my money to be refunded. The person helping me tried to see if I had an account, and noticed I didn't. Then they stopped answering. I got charged again, reached out again, and the canceled the subscription, but ignored me wanting the refund back, even after admitting I didn't have an account. They have a very predatory cancellation process. You will automatically be signed up for a subscription when you give them your payment information. If you go to cancel, you're taken to a large splash page that is incredibly deceptive. You have to scroll all the way down to click cancel a second time. They've scammed me out of at least $100 this way and getting any form of refund for just one payment involved getting a lecture on how subscriptions work from the rep. Just go straight to your credit card company.

AWFUL!!!! Advertise free resume building but it is not free to obtian/download it, just to build it. Selling a plethora of the information and extremely predatory credit card charges! STAY AWAY!!!

Was advertised as free waited till the end to bill me, It could have been a penny but I will not pay a deceptive company anything. If i had gone in expecting to pay you get a fair amount for the money but deceptive and predatory practices of any website should not be supported

For the benefit of our users, we offer a Basic Access account that gives you the chance to try out our resume builder before deciding to purchase our premium features, this account allows you may download a plain text version of your resume completely free. We also provide a Full Access account for a small fee that offers a 14-day trial period. This gives you the ability to print, email or download your resume and cover letters using our copyrighted templates, but these features are NOT listed within the Basic Access account. In addition, we do offer a 100% money-back guarantee for our trial fee.
This review isn't quite accurate... LiveCareer does NOT bill monthly. They bill every 4 weeks (do the math: that means 13 payments per year - "monthly" means 12 payments). It's a very slick way to squeeze extra money from users. With that said, LiveCareer is one the better CV builders out there. It has a large array of templates and very focused on helping you create effective résumés and cover letters. However it would be nice to have either more (i.e. "new") templates or a more granular customization option for users. Fortunately the export to MS Word is very good. This company is a scam!!!! They say the services are free, then it went from free to $2.95. However they charged my card $10.00. I wasn’t even able to print my resume out. So what exactly am I paying for? I immediately cancelled my subscription but yet my card is still being charged almost months later. And I’m still not employed!!!!

This company says you can cancel but they don't actually stop billing you when you cancel. They won't give receipts for anything because, "that is our property" and the rates start going up!! Then when you dispute, they ask, "what's the cancellation number?" well I don't know because you didn't give me a receipt!!
This company also somehow stole some of my card info. My card expired after several transactions I embarrassingly did not notice . I got a new card with the same number BUT it had a new cvv code and expiration date. How did they get that?!

This company is running a scam!! Like the other customer comments, I too signed up for the 14 day trial and was billed $2.95 which I paid. Then I immediately called and canceled and lo and behold, they just kept taking out $24.95 a month!!! I then canceled on line and spoke to a supervisor who issued half a refund for the months I was charged!!! I am filing a complaint and also having my bank reverse the other months they did not refund! DO NOT DEAL WITH THIS FRAUDULENT COMPANY!!!!!

I build my resume using their website for 2 days, paid 1+1.95$ for the 14 days trail version. Then they charged me 25$ after 2 weeks, so called them to cancel my account and get my money back. Seriously, why would anyone pay 25$ to build resume??? The customer service rep was polite and promised that he will cancel and refund my money, which he never did. So I called my bank in a week and disputed the charge. Looks like some legal team from Live career fought back with my bank and blocked the dispute. We are very sorry if there was any confusion on the terms of our subscription. We do notify our customers at several points that after the 14-day trial, the subscription enters into a monthly subscription service. If you do not cancel before the end of the subscription, either through your account or by contacting us, you will be charged for the recurring amount. The auto-renewal information is listed on the sell page, payment information page, processing payment page, order confirmation page, and in the payment confirmation e-mail.
We offer other services aside from our handy resume builder that help our customers every step of the way of the employment-seeking process. What we have to offer cannot be reduced to simply charging "$28 for building a resume once."
Please note that once a financial institution intervenes at the behest of a customer, we are unable to issue, revoke, or otherwise alter any refunds. As transparency with our customers is one of our priorities, we truly do regret that this misunderstanding occurred.
