Don't buy windows from Home depot! We purchased Milgard windows in August 2021. Wasn't installed till January 2022. Two screens for our front window was missing. The guys that installed the windows didn't tell us that they was missing. They also cracked and chipped the Harding siding on another window, that we paid to have the out door window trim replaced when they installed the new window, do to water rot. They just tried to fill it with window chalk. They just cleaned up and left. And bugs was coming in the house. Go somewhere else for your windows . I have been banging my head against a rock for almost a year and still have an incomplete install . Siminton windows suck . Home Depot install dept. measured my windows wrong . They broke a window during install . The windows leaked air . My curtains were actually blowing inside my house . Their solution was to caulk . I am still waiting for broken window replacement. They scheduled then canceled 10 minutes before install . GO SOMEWHERE ELSE FOR YOUR WINDOWS . And then if you get angry they just hang up on you . They don’t care once they get their money . I see now why they collect their money first ..

The issue is calling the warranty department. You get NO WHERE. You call about an issue and they don't call you back. When they do come to check out the issue, they tell me there is no issue. Now I have a rotting window with soft moist wood. No ONE calls back from the warranty department. I call everyday and everyday I am told someone will call. NO CALL.

I ordered 14 Anderson windows and 4 patio doors, It's been a year and a half and I still am missing 3 screen for my doors and one window was ordered with the wrong orientation (twice) so I still don't have the correct window. I spent $28K. The install job is not what I was expecting. For the doors they measured so imprecisely that there was over 5 inches of space between the door and the top that they tried to throw trim on to make it look decent. I had to have another contractor fix this for 3 doors. All the windows don't fit well so they put this trim on the inside of all windows, many screws are missing. This project is a disaster. Ordered in August. Scheduled 11/22. Installers showed up at 1pm started at 2, and finished at 4 with only 4 of the 6 windows partly installed. In the process, they have damaged my walls, window frames (inside) and then demanded we be flexible with them and allow them to return on Thanksgiving or Friday. Now we are prisoners and have to forfeit our holiday because of this incompetency.

We ordered one double window replacement the first of May. In June, the install was cancelled 45 minutes before the appointment through a text message, windows weren’t in. Windows arrived with a broken sash.told in July the sash was on order and they were getting a status. Found out in September the sash had not been ordered at all. It’s now the end of November….have been told for a week the sash is on a truck but no one knows where it is. Not sure whether to just cancel at this point or not. The frustration has been horrible and communication is awful, will never do anything with them again.

I ordered windows and paid a 25% deposit. It has been on scheduling nightmare after another. After wasting a lot of my time and not showing up on 2 different scheduled install dates, finally cancelled my order and got my deposit back. There is a a huge disconnect between the sales people , the scheduling department, and the many sub contactors that they hire to do their installs. No one knows what's going on, I dealt with 3 managers of different departments and they still couldn't get it right. HOME DEPOT ARE THE BIGGEST SCAMER ON EARTH. I ORDERED 12 WINDOWS FOR MY HOUSE THAT AMMOUNTED TO ALMOST 18G . THE SALES PERSON SHOWED ME TOP OF THE LINE WINDOWS BUT WHEN THE WINDOWS CAME IN A YEAR LATER THEY LOOKED HORRIBLE AND FULL OF DEFECTS ( ANDERSON 400 SERIES) AND NOT THE SAME WINDOWS I WAS SHOWEN WHEN THEIR SALESMAN SHOWED UP TO MY HOUSE. IN ADDITION THEIR INSTALLER WANTED TO RIP OFF ALL MY NEW SIDING AND HE WILL NOT GARANTY EVERYTHING WILL GO BACK IN PLACE. HOME DEPOT STAFF HARRASSED ME FOR NOT ACCEPTING THE WINDOWS INSTALLATION KNOWING THEY WILL DISTROY MY NEW SIDING AND WINDOW NEW TRIMS. THEY TOOK MY 5G DEPOSIT AFTER THEY HARRASSED ME. Several years ago I had home depot install windows in many rooms. They used Farley windows. One by one, each of the windows has lost its seal and fogged up. The windows are "lifetime" warranty. Farley windows will not communicate with customs directly and require you to go through home depot. Its been 14 months of calling home depot customer service and then going and wasting time standing in the home depot windows/doors department and no one there cares to help. Home depot does not care and there is no mechanism to get any help. There is no place where a complaint can be made either.

Unfortunately, we have been waiting over 6 months to get documentation from Home Depot with details of our Window Installation project and we have still not heard back from the Sales Manager. In addition, now we need to utilize the Warranty because one of the windows is malfunctioning and isn't closing or locking and we have no idea who to contact.
