Aloha, I"m very dispointed to have to reach out to corporate regarding this but I was quoted a price of $938.00 to move my relocation cube from Pacoima, CA to Austin, TX 78749 a few months ago when arranging my move here. I called today to finalize and to have my belongings shipped only to have it held hostage now for over $1100 for shipping is just not right, fair, ethical or business smart on so many levels. We've been saving for months and this Covid-19 has taken a huge financial toll on our family.. I was quoted 5 feet container space, which was the minimum space. But the employee at the shipping station told me that I could only use 4 feet or 6 feet, not 5 feet. One additional feet will be charged for $190. I did not need 6 feet. So I took back some of my boxes and used 4 feet. I was told by the employee at the shipping station that my rate would be reduced. But I was still charged for five feet container even though Upack could not provide 5 feet space. Stay away from this fraudulent company!
Customer service was great with U-Pack and local ABF in Cohoes, NY and Boise, ID.! Everyone was friendly and made me feel comfortable that my possessions were in their hands. If you read all of the instructions and pack items as suggested, you should be good. One reason I gave a 4 star rating was do to trailer door seal coming off. Proper maintenance may have prevented this from happening. The main reason I gave 4 star rating was because when the trailer was delivered to my destination, the ramp was apparently standing on end and leaning on the door since it came crashing down to the ground as we scrambled to get out of the way as we opened the doors!
