I signed with Monster Moving when I relocated to Knoxville, TN. Monster farmed my move to another company without my consent. That moving company did a terrible job. My furniture was placed in a storage unit in Knoxville as our new home wasn't ready yet. I was finally able to move into my new home two weeks ago and received the shock of my life. There were multiple items broken or destroyed. They broke the foot off one of my Queen Anne chairs so that had to be thrown out. They also broke my china cabinet and part of my entertainment system which resulted in those items being thrown out. One of my dining room chairs was in pieces with no possible way to repair it. Worst experience of my life! Run in the other direction! Do not book! This HORRIBLE company picked up my house items on 7/29 in CA and was to deliver to CO within 14 days. They delivered late on 8/15- received text on 8/13 they would deliver on 8/14, we were ready but they didn't come until 8/15! I was overcharged thousands of dollars (quoted $4500, paid $7895 on 8/4/2021) and they tried to get a shuttle fee of additional $1200 but the movers told me to refuse because the truck was not a 'shuttle'. Every large item was completely demolished or extremely damaged beyond repair. The company promised door to door service but instead loaded and unloaded my items in warehoused multiple times... DO NOT BOOK WITH THIS COMPANY! Read below for entire story. Short version - I paid 6k to have over 3k lost in transit or destroyed. Worst moving experience. I am reporting them to every business bureau I can. I booked my cross-country move with Monster Moving LLC on 6/16/21. I set my pickup date for 6/23/21 in Los Angeles, CA and I was told that the arrival estimate in Brooklyn, New York would be 4-21 days from the first available date of delivery, which was 7/1/21. This company is the worst ever. I paid them to move a small amount of stuff to NY and they broker everything out to other companies that absolutely suck! They have had my stuff for almost 45 days. The drivers they hired as for extra cash to unload stuff and when the doorman would not pay they left to go make another delivery and have not returned. This is the worst moving company in the world. DO NOT USE THEM!
RUN! SAVE YOURSELF FROM BEING THE NEXT VICTIM !!!! This company contracted out another company (American Knights) to do my move. On arrival they up charged my moving quote by $1000 on arrival for clothing items that I already claimed on the original quote. They lost and damaged multiple items. At first they seemed great to work with until you sign the contract they got you, and will wash their hands of you. I was literally told that I can no longer speak with the agent on my case after 21 business days of not receiving my items!! PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE HEAR THIS MESSAGE: DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! THEY WILL BE NICE AND SWEET WHILE THEY GET YOUR MONEY THEN THEY WON'T DO ANY OF THE THINGS YOU NEED THEM TO DO THEY SHOWED UP 3 DAYS LATE WE PAID $680 FOR THEM NOT TO SHOW UP ON TIME THEY TOOK 19 DAYS TO BRING OUR STUFF. You guys are a total joke of a moving company. Fleeced my sons move from California to Maryland. A total "bait and switch" company if there was ever one. You guys are con men and will drive prices up just prior to delivery since you have the leverage because you have the clients valuables and goods. I will be commenting on your company at FMCSA, American Moving Storage Association and Better Business Bureau. If I can make one person shy away from doing business with you my work will be done. Your company is a joke and should not be allowed to conduct business!!
Monster movers are con men and thieves.
They jack up the price by 40% , deliver late and stole my valuables, electronics, computers and paintings
Please DO NOT use this company. The prices seem reasonable until your stuff is delivered and you realize they've helped themselves to all of your valuables. I had over $10k in stuff STOLEN from inside boxes and when I told them, they did not care. If it was my company and I knew that my customers were being ROBBED, I would try to fix it. Not them though. They just shrug and say oh well. I had so many heirlooms stolen, jewelry, electronics and more stolen from different boxes. Save yourself the headache and please go with someone else. They are horrible!
We were being gifted a twin-door fridge and 42 inch TV. Our benefactors were leaving the country for good, so we needed to act fast. We had heard of Monster Moving but never used them. In one phone call, the job was set up, the stuff picked up and delivered to us. The speed left me in a daze, plus how affordable it was. Thanks guys, you’re just extraordinary.
