Most of our wood furniture was damaged. Between my wife and I we have moved approx. 30 times in our lives. We purchased full replacement value and videoed/photoed all of our wood furniture. Their repair contractor, Schatzman Claims, sent out a person who had a couple years experience fixing couches. The contractor sells itself as being a "full service furniture repair" company, but couldn't perform simple wood finish repair work, so most of our furniture was deemed "unrepairable." Claims group 4, Heather Sherburn, lowballed every value and item we presented and tried to replace all our "unrepairable" with significantly inferior products. Their initial offer allowed us to keep all... Read More

Terrible! Avoid as it will cost you!!!! We called the before Memorial Day 2021 to have someone come give an estimate for a move the week of June 20th. David Amos came out 2 weeks later and gave us a quote a bit pricey stating it was more because it was a last minute booking. Well - if he would have come out 2 weeks prior when we called - it would not have been "last minute". I ultimately decided to go with him because he said our items would be tag and scanned so we could be sure what left our house arrived to our new location. That item tracking was available. LIE..... He also said all employees had background checks.... LIE He said our move would be treated as white glove. That there... Read More

We hired Mayflower for a long-distance move. The pickup went fine, but the delivery has been a nightmare. We are outside of our promised delivery window and have yet to receive our items. For a week they had no plan or estimate for when they would make the delivery stating that they had no drivers available. Today we have been informed that they now have a plan, and will deliver the items a full 30 days after initial pickup. I would highly recommend you take your business elsewhere.

The Mayflower salesman said they would have to re-pack many items that we had securely wrapped with 1" of bubblewrap. I am experienced in wrapping and shipping fragile items for a business so I know they were wrapped OK. He said their packing would only cost $150. extra. Two days before the move, the office told us it would cost $900. It was too late to protest or do anything. We had to pay it. They said the extra cost would include boxing the items, but they only wrapped our things with paper. Beware of cost add-ons! And it took them two weeks to deliver our items. The movers were very polite though.

We moved from Indianapolis to Boston using Mayflower. The local Mayflower representative who we spoke with to obtain a quote guaranteed that the movers would take great care with our furniture, pack it into the truck, drive cross-country, unload, and re-assemble our furniture. We checked several reviews online, and decided to go with Mayflower. 1 - The movers were 1 hour late to pack up the truck in Indianapolis. No big deal. 2 - They did not use any care. Several items ended up being broken, scratched, dented, and otherwise damaged. They refuse to work with us to compensate for the damages. 3 - When they were unloading our items in Boston, they absolutely refused to re-assemble... Read More

A One Night Gas Lighting Stand! You are their employee from start to finish! A company that wants your money now and nothing else. Who cares about their fine prints?Anymore than the "Option A or B"? Don't bother about talking to them for they hear nothing! Once you pay them what they want, you will no longer hear from them anymore. You get the hint. My furniture was severely damaged more than you can imagine! And they will make you pay even more if you dare to confront them.

Interstate move AL to WA with contract in which Mayflower's own contract promised: "Full Value Replacement Coverage" which states; "Full (Replacement) Value Protection is the most comprehensive plan available for protection of your goods. If any article is lost, destroyed, or damaged while in your mover’s custody, your mover will, at its option, either 1) repair the article to the extent necessary to restore it to the same condition as when it was received by your mover, or pay you for the cost of such repairs; or 2) replace the article with an article of like kind and quality, or pay you for the cost of such replacement." Mayflower contracted to pack/crate certain high value items... Read More

My name is Richard Yanez. I was recently moved by your company and was pleasantly in awe by the professional service provided by the packer and movers and the overall service proved by your people! Thank you!

This is definitely a terrible experience. Both Mayflower and the local mover charged my card, and none of them want to be responsible for their damage to my shipment. They always tell me "the other part is wrong and should be responsible for this, call the company". I guess it is a big mistake to go to Mayflower, as it is responsible for nothing except charge the credit cards. I should just contract with a local mover then they have no excuse to dodge problems.
