Customer Service and Reputation - 5 / 5

CrossCountry Mortgage has a fairly good reputation amongst its present and former customers, with considerably more positive reviews than bad.

However, they do have three regulatory actions against them and several CFPB complaints. As with any lender, we recommend that prospective borrowers make sure to read all the fine print in the contract and conduct thorough research before making a final decision.

Jumped through many months of hoops to qualify and now this! Closed in February, 2020, and still trying to get equity checks to be submitable to correct companies for correct amounts. Closing loan officer won't respond to my messages or e-mails and neither will his manager. I call CrossCountry Mortgage contact numbers from the internet and don't get anyone to answer. Where is everyone? I have 2 checks for $3,000+ that I cannot use. My money, that is included in my mortgage, that I'm making payments on.

Cross Country Mortgage Company failed to realize that even though the previous owner of my home qualified for the Homestead exemption, I did not. Three years into my owning this home, I was hit with an unrealistic increase in payment due to their error.
