Senior Market Quotes - Overview

Supplemental Medicare Insurance, also called Medigap, is insurance you can purchase from private companies in addition to your Medicare plan. This coverage pays for many of the costs you might incur that are not covered by Medicare, including copayments and coinsurance, and medical care while abroad. Supplement plans are all standardized through the federal and state government and must therefore provide the exact same care according to the plan. There are 10 standard plans named A through N.

Senior Market Quotes is an online portal that gives those looking for supplemental Medicare insurance the ability to compare quotes from competing providers in their area for free. All users have to do is input their zip code, and provide the company with some basic contact information. By doing this you consent to receive communication from insurance agents by phone or email.

Services and Features

The 10 types of Medigap plans are all slightly different. All pay 100% of Medicare Part A coinsurance and varying percentages of Part B. The same goes for Part A & B deductibles. Coverage of hospice care, skilled nursing facility, foreign travel, and maximum yearly out of pocket limits vary by plan.

All Supplemental plans are standardized, but since they are offered through private companies pricing can fluctuate widely for exact same plans. Senior Market Quotes gives you a great deal of flexibility to compare quotes from multiple providers so you don't end up spending more needlessly.

PRICING

Monthly premiums will vary by plan and provider. Beyond this, the out-of-pocket dollar amount you are responsible for depends on the Medigap plan selected. But once this has been satisfied, Supplemental Medicare plans pay for 100% of covered services with no yearly maximum.

  • Plan F has a high deductible option that will reduce monthly premiums. In it patients will pay the first $2,200 in copays, coinsurance, and deductibles before the Medigap plan kicks in.
  • Plans K and L have yearly out-of-pocket maximums, above which Medigap will pay 100%
  • Plan N covers 100% of Plan B coinsurance, but includes a $20 charge for some office visits and a $50 charge for ER visits.

Summary

Senior Market Quotes is a great choice for Supplemental Medicare Insurance as the service provides the flexibility of comparing rates from multiple providers. This offers customers the ability to shop for discounts, and since all plans are standardized and offer the same coverage and features, the only difference will be price.
