This is a total rip off. I was given a gift card for $130 from my daughter. She was told no subscription required. Then when I placed my 2nd order because I had $68.07 left on the card, they told me I had to register for a subscription and cancel it before my next delivery. The rep helped my by canceling it over the phone but that then cancelled my 2nd order. When I called customer service to find out what happened, I was told that by canceling the subscription, it cancelled my order. Then when I went to use the remainder of the gift card ($68.07), my total for the week came to $51.81 so I was going to use the $16.26 on "extras", and was told I could not use it on extras I would... They warned me up front: I would have to do some prep. Unfortunately, I wasn't that successful, and my partner did not want some of the ingredients. Sigh! I completed 2 meals and he was not interested in any more. We are a busy couple and unfortunately lack time for leisurely meal prep. Delivery was as requested, on my covered porch, out of the sun & stayed cold, even on a very hot day. Ingredients were fresh. A good fit for those with more time!

We have been with HelloFresh for 3 years. We absolutely couldn't do without it. We are ordering 5 meals a week now. It's been a lifesaver! Lots of variety and excellent customer service.

First, HelloFresh has delivery problems (unrelated to actual food). While it could market delivery of its meals as GIFTS HelloFresh's delivery system was not created to accommodate gift meals delivered to third parties . I prepaid and gave out-of-state delivery addresses for ill relatives who were to receive (only) three meals as gifts. Unfortunately all the "rote" updates HelloFresh sent, e.g., "your meal is on its way" and "pick up your meal " were emailed to me NOT the gift meals recipients, They never received a written message or call from HelloFresh before delivery and no message or call about the quality of the meals after delivery. I signed up for this with the assurance of a sign up bonus, was automatically billed and charged additional fees. I deleted my subscription immediately and provided a review as I was not satisfied even with the preliminary service. I received an email today that I'm being billed for my order, received an additional invoice for a meal 'upgrade' and will apparently have a shipment next week. I deleted my service and cancelled my order within 5 minutes of placing it *(on a weekend). The customer service is unhelpful and un-apologetically bad. Even the discount is not what it was stated to be. Complete sham. The food is good but the user experience is purely awful.

I created an account and was immediately charged for preselected meals. I clicked on the meals, determined there were not gluten free options and cancelled. I was charged anyway and will get my delivery a week from now. I feel scammed. I cannot even eat the meals being delivered because of my gluten allergy.

I was schedule for deliveries the last two Saturdays and neither arrived on Saturday. The first one arrived on Monday, two days late. I received an email stating that it may not be safe to eat since it arrived two days later then scheduled. To trash it. Believe it on not, this Saturday the same thing, no delivery. I contacted their customer service and was told that they cannot sent a new order out. That I would have to wait for next order. Here's your refund.

I hate grocery shopping so decided to give HelloFresh a try. Got my first delivery today. Everything was fresh. Tonight made tender pork medallions with apricot-shallot glaze, jasmine ginger rice and fresh green beans with sesame oil. The directions were easy to follow. The meal was delicious, healthy, well balanced and fresh. Everything to make the meal was in the kit, they assume you have salt, pepper, oil and butter already at home, which I do have. Highly recommend HelloFresh!

I have used Hello Fresh on and off for 2 years. It began with good portions, good quality of food, variety of recipes, etc. Customer service would refund you if there was an issue or a missing item. I have had many quality issues in the last 6 months, including rotten potatoes twice. Most potatoes from a grocery store last forever, but theirs last 3 days then get putrid and ruin everything they are stored with. I have had rotten chicken, smashed zucchini several times, rotten lettuce. I tried to choose items that were not those that I have had trouble with, still problems. I was a customer for several months I did this for the convince like everybody else since my husband and I both worked. To start with the food was very good this is why I tolerated the problems for so long. The first week I got double the order which I didn't need so I called the company and they didn't want me to send the food back but refused to refund my money for the double order. The food was good. The second issue was 6 weeks ago and the hamburger that came was brown and had that whiteish sticky stuff that made it stick to the wrapper.
